Anne Murray first brought the song to attention outside Canada on her album 'The Hottest Night of the Year' in 1982. Some other artists that have recorded MacGillivray's 'Song for the Mira' include Terry Kelly, John McDermott, the group McGinty, and Matt Minglewood to name a few.
