The Quiz of my Mix Country CD

I just downloaded some great country songs off the internet to make a CD (don't worry, I bought them) so I'm giving you a lyrics quiz on them. They're all from the past decade so don't worry about Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What artist sang the words: "When I'm feeling blue, know just what to do and how to make it right"?

Answer: Joe Diffie

This came out of the song 'A Night to Remember' off his cd, '16 Greatest Hits' and is probably my third favorite song. This was his only big hit, I think, and is one of those songs where the title is misleading. Listen to the song to find out why!
2. Every light in Trace Adkins' house is on.

Answer: True

1996, off his album 'Dreamin' Out Loud'. This was one of the first songs that skyrocketed him into country music. He also sings "This Ain't no Thinkin' Thing" and "Chrome".
3. From what year is the song that has the following line in it? "Keep the nights by the candlelight as an ace in the hole."

Answer: 2001

This is from the song 'Laredo', from Chris Cagle off his CD "Play it Loud". This is probably, in my opinion, the gretest song of any genre of any time period ever. I highly recomend it! He also sings "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out" (off the same CD) and "The Chicks Dig it".
4. Who sings a song with the words "We threw it all away, like your rose bouquet"?

Answer: Phil Vassar

"Rose Bouquet" off the self titled C.D of Phil Vassar. It is a really good CD and also includes "Just Another Day in Paradise", "Carlene" and "That's When I Love You".
5. What song am I listening to right now? Why can't you get it from that? Well, it's also the third hit from "the hottest country duo in history"- CMT. And a further hint is "She needs someone to hear her when she cries".

Answer: Holy Water

By, you guessed it, Big and Rich. The first two hits were "Wild West Show" and "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy". The other two were by Brooks and Dunn, the other hottest country duo. This is the second best song in history (in my opinion). It's off their smash album 'Horse of a Different Color' from 2004. Good pickin's!
6. Kenny Chesney sings a song about a drunk going to an AA meeting.

Answer: Yes

From 2000, it's called 'That's Why I'm Here' and is another extremely good song. It's off his "Greatest Hits" CD.
7. What is Cledus T. Judd's parody on 'Paint me a Birmingham' called?

Answer: Bake Me a Country Ham

From 2004, this song's off his CD 'Bipolar and Proud'. Yes, you read that right. It's a really good song and I recommend it (then again I recommend every song in this quiz or else I wouldn't bother with them.)
8. Who sings the song which says "I Can't be Your Friend Anymore"?

Answer: Rushlow

From 2003, this was the only hit for the group who housed the former lead singer of Little Texas and can be found on the CD 'Right Now'.
9. What is the last name of the man who sings "What Mattered Most"? Hint- First name is Ty

Answer: Herndon

From 1995 (wow, I was five) and off the CD with the same name, this song is a really good but sad song.
10. Which of these is NOT a line in the song "Not That Different" by Colin Raye?

Answer: She just didn't want to face herself

From 1995, this song by Colin Raye is an amazing song and is on the CD '16 Biggest Hits' (got deja vu? see number 1). It's one of those sad songs that gets happy.

Hope you liked my first quiz and if this is popular I'll pop out another soon!
