In addition to being vice president, Burr was also a senator of New York from 1791-97. He died on September 14, 1836, at age 80. He was married to Theodosia Bartow Prevost, and, interestingly enough, he killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel on July 11, 1804.

Sir Henry Irving was born on my birthday. He was, and is, considered the inspiration for "Dracula", by Bram Stoker. He died on October 13, 1905. He was the first of people from the acting profession to be knighted, and was considered one of the greatest actors in Great Britain at the time.

Babe Ruth (1895-1948) was born on February 6th. One of his best records is the fantastic 60 home run season. Roger Maris broke that record with 61 runs in 1961. This record is not quite completely official, because when Ruth hit 60, the seasons were 154 games long.

The season length when Maris hit the 61 was eight games longer, at 162. At 154 games in the 1961 season, Maris only had 59 homeruns.
