Answer: Yvonne De Carlo

Canadian native Yvonne De Carlo was born Margaret Yvonne Middleton in 1922. Her break came in 1945 playing the title role in "Salome, Where She Danced". It wasn't critically acclaimed but it was a box office hit. For the next several years she was constantly working. Cast in "The Ten Commandments" in 1956 as Zipporah, Moses' wife, De Carlo was part of a major movie ensemble. "The Munsters" allowed De Carlo to demonstrate a comic flair that her films had failed to take advantage of.

She reprized her role of Lily Munster in The Munster movie sequels after the series ended. Yvonne De Carlo was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Carolyn Jones played Morticia Addams. Beverly Owen and Pat Priest both played Marilyn Munster, Lily's niece.

Answer: Frankie Laine

Frankie Laine was born Francesco Paolo LoVecchio on March 30, 1913. He was one of the most successful singers of the twentieth century. Often billed as "America's Number One Song Stylist", his other nicknames include "Mr. Rhythm" and "Old Man Jazz". His hits include "That's My Desire", "That Lucky Old Sun," "Mule Train", "Jezebel," "High Noon" theme, "I Believe", "Cool Water", "Rawhide", and "Lord, You Gave Me a Mountain".

He also sang the theme song for Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles". Elvis was initially described by critics as "a cross between Johnnie Ray and Frankie Laine". Johnny Ray was a contemporary of Laine's who died in 1990. Jack Coombs was a radio station programmer who suggested Frankie change his name. Johnny Moore was the band leader Frankie sang for early in his career.

Johnny Hart was born February 18, 1931. He served in the Korean War. In addition to being the creator of the comic strip "B.C." he was co-creator of the strip "The Wizard of Id". Hart was recognized with several awards, including five from the National Cartoonists Society.

In his later years he sparked controversy by including Christian themes and messages into the strips. Prior to his death, Hart built up a significant computer archive of drawings for "B.C." so family members can carry on the strip. "Doonesbury" is a comic strip by G. B. Trudeau. "Calvin and Hobbes" is a strip written and illustrated by Bill Watterson.

It features a 6-year-old and his tiger. "Hägar the Horrible" is the title of a syndicated comic strip by Dik Browne. It was first seen in February 1973.

Boris Yeltsin was 76. He was the first President of the Russian Federation, serving from 1991 to 1999. Yeltsin was a member of the Communist Party from 1961 to July 1990. He began working in the Communist administration in 1968. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, Yeltsin endorsed a program of price liberalization and privatization.

In 1977 as party boss in Sverdlovsk, Yeltsin ordered the destruction of the house where the last Russian Tsar had been killed by Bolshevik troops. Gorbachev was the last head of state of the USSR, serving from 1985 until its collapse in 1991. Yuri Andropov was the General Secretary from November 12, 1982, until his death just fifteen months later at age 54. Konstantin Chernenko led the Soviet Union from February 13, 1984, until his death thirteen months later.

Deborah Jane Kerr-Trimmer was born in 1921. She was a Golden Globe Award winning Scottish actress. Although nominated for a Best Actress Oscar 6 times, she never took home the coveted award. Among Kerr's other famous roles are Anna in the film version of "The King and I", and opposite Cary Grant in "An Affair to Remember".

In 1967 she starred in Casino Royale at age 46, achieving the distinction of being the oldest "Bond Girl" in a James Bond film. Donna Reed played a prostitute in "From Here to Eternity" and took home an Oscar for best supporting actress. Jane Wyman won an Oscar for Johnny Belinda.

She was also President Ronald Reagan's first wife. She passed on September 10, 2007, at age 90. Gene Tierney is probably best remembered for her performance in the title role of "Laura".

She died in 1991.

Porter Wayne Wagoner was born August 12, 1927. Famous for his flashy suits and blond pompadour, Wagoner introduced a young Dolly Parton on his long-running television show. Together, "Porter and Dolly" were a well-known duet team for many years. Parton wrote the song "I Will Always Love You" after Wagoner suggested she focus on composing love songs. Stonewall Jackson was the first to join the Grand Ole Opry before he had a recording contract. Singer Dan Fogelberg passed away on December 16, 2007.

He was known for his soft-rock hits "Longer" and "Leader of the Band". Jimmy C. Newman was born August 27 1927, near Big Mamou, Louisiana. He is a long-time star of the Grand Ole Opry.

Bishop began his career as part of a stand-up comedy act with his elder brother, Maury. "The Joey Bishop Show" ran from 1967 to 1969. It was a 90-minute late-night talk show on ABC. His co-host was newcomer Regis Philbin.

Norman Fell was in over 150 TV shows and movies. He was in "Oceans 11" with Bishop and the "Rat Pack". He went on to be cast as Mr. Roper, the first landlord on "Three's Company". Frank left us in 1998 and Dean passed earlier.

On August 5, 1945, Tibbets formally named his B-29 bomber Enola Gay after his mother. She was named after the heroine, Enola, of a novel her father had liked. On August 6 the Enola Gay departed Tinian Island in the Marianas with Tibbets at the controls at 2:45AM for Hiroshima.

The atomic bomb, codenamed "Little Boy", was dropped over Hiroshima at 8:15AM local time. Some 140,000 Japanese were killed and many more died later. The Doolittle Raid in 1942 was the first air raid by the United States to strike the Japanese homeland during World War II. Captain Marc Mitscher was the skipper of the Hornet, the carrier that launched the Doolittle raid. Chester William Nimitz passed in 1996.

He was the Commander-in-Chief of Pacific Naval Forces during World War II.

She had her own talk show, "Lifestyles with Beverly Sills" on NBC. Maria Callas was a great opera singer known for her love affair with Aristotle Onassis. Susan Graham is an American mezzo-soprano. Jeanette MacDonald passed away in 1965.

She was an American singer and actress best remembered for her musical films of the 1930s with Maurice Chevalier and Nelson Eddy.

She was also a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal. Elizabeth Ann Bloomer Warren Ford is the widow of former United States President Gerald R.Ford and was First Lady from 1974 to 1977.

She is the founder of the Betty Ford Center and a also a recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal. Mamie Geneva Doud Eisenhower left us in 1979. Jackie passed in 1994.
