1. Is Exodus part of the Pentateuch?

Answer: Yes

The first five books of the Bible (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) make up the Pentateuch. It is also called the Torah. The Pentateuch covers the beginnings of earth and the nation of Israel.
2. How many biological siblings did Moses have?

Moses was the youngest of his siblings. He had a sister, Miriam (likely the oldest of the three) and a brother, Aaron.
3. According to Exodus 2:1, from which tribe of Jacob was Moses's father?

Answer: Levi

Most of the men that were descended from Levi were priests. Moses's mother was also a descendant of Levi.
4. According to Exodus 2:3, what body of water was Moses sent floating on as a baby?

Answer: Nile River

The Egyptian pharaoh had ordered a decree that all Hebrew baby boys were to be thrown in the Nile. Moses's mother did not want this to happen to Moses, so she hid him. Eventually, the time came when she could no longer hide him, so she put him into a basket and sent him on the Nile River.
5. According to Exodus 2:21, what was the name of Moses's wife?

Answer: Zipporah

After Moses ran away from Egypt, he went to Midian. During his time there, he helped seven daughters gather water and use it to water the flock. Their father invited him to stay with them and allowed him to marry one of his daughters, Zipporah. Miriam and Aaron would later talk against Moses, because he married a Cushite. (Numbers 12:1)
6. According to Exodus 4:14, who helped Moses speak to Pharaoh?

Answer: Aaron

Moses was not that good of a speaker, so he asked his brother, Aaron, for help. God helped both of them know what to say during Moses and Aaron's conversation with Pharaoh.
7. According to Deuteronomy 30:18, which body of water was Moses not allowed to cross?

Answer: Jordan River

God had forbidden Moses to cross the Jordan River, because Moses disobeyed Him regarding how to get water from the rock.
8. According to Deuteronomy 34:7, at what age did Moses die?

Answer: 120

Moses died circa 1273 B.C. on Mount Nebo. He stayed there while the rest of the Jews crossed the Jordan River and entered into the Promised Land.
9. According to Numbers 20:11, how did Moses get water out of a rock?

Answer: striking the rock twice

God's instructions to Moses were to speak to the rock, but instead Moses struck the rock with his staff. Because of his disobedience, he could not cross the Jordan River with the other Jews.
10. When Moses talked to God (Exodus 4:3) and Pharaoh (Exodus 7:10), what did Aaron's staff become?

Answer: snake

This was used as a sign, so that the Israelites would know that God appeared to Moses. When Moses talked to Pharaoh, he asked for Moses to perform a miracle, so Moses told Aaron to throw down the staff, and it became a snake just as God promised it would.
