Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the first thing you do to start Salah?

Answer: Say 'Allahu Akbar'

First, you start with the intention of prayer, then the Takbeeratul-Ihram, or, praising the name of Allah while still standing with hands up by your face. This starts the salah prayer. Half of the Tashahood is said in the second Rakaak of Salah and all of it is said in the last Rakaah. If the Salah is only two Rakaahs, then all of it is said in the second Rakaah.
2. How many times do Muslims pray a day?

Answer: 5

Actually, in the Israa and Mi'raj, Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was told by Allah that he and his followers should pray fifty times a day but it was reduced afterwards to just five and that who does the five should have the reward of fifty.
3. How many fard (compulsory) Rakaahs have to be done at Al-Fajr Prayer?

Answer: Two

No prayer session of the five has five Rakaahs. Al-Fajr, the first daily prayer session, has two required prayers, the fewest of them all.

The word transliterated as Rakaah (and usually translated as prayer) is also seen as Rak'ah, Rakat and Rakaat.
4. How many Rakaahs have to be done at Az-Zuhr prayer by both Sunni and Shi'a, not on Friday?

Answer: 4

On Friday, if men go to the mosque and pray Salat-al-Jumaah or the Friday Prayer at noon, which is two Rakaahs then they do not have to pray four Rakaahs at Az-Zuhr Prayer.
5. Al-Asr Prayer has four Rakaahs that have to be done.

Answer: True

If you're praying in a mosque, then people pray in a group in which done as normal but there is an Imam and he says Surat-al-Fatihah loudly or everybody says it under their own breath. At Al-Asr, all four Rakaahs are done quietly.
6. At Al-Maghrib Prayer how many Rakaahs have to be done?

Answer: Three

At Al-Maghrib, it differs from Al-Asr because the first two Rakaahs are done loudly and the last one is done quietly.
7. Are there only three Raakahs in the Al-Esha prayer?

Answer: No

At Al-Esha Prayer, there are four Rakaahs: the first two Rakaahs are said loudly in a mosque and the other two are said quietly. When doing it alone then everything is said quietly.
8. How many rakaahs did Prophet Muhammed pray before Al-fajr prayer, as Sunnah?

Answer: Two Rakaahs

A Sunnah is something Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) did. At Al-fajr, there are also two fard rakaahs.
9. Do you do any Rakaats after Al-Asr Prayer as a Sunnah?

Answer: No

It is obvious that because the Prophet didn't do any then Muslims don't. There are no routine Sunnahs for the Al-Asr prayer, but, its recommended to do four rakaats before it.
10. Do you say Subhanna Rabial Azeem three times when bowing down (in the position of the Ruku')?
