Answer: Garmin-Slipstream

The time trial was 6km in length. It took the Garmin-Slipstream team 6:34 to complete. The Belgian cycling team, Quick Step, finished just one second behind Garmin-Slipstream. Bradley Wiggins took the overall lead in the 2009 Tour of Qatar.

The break contained six riders from Cervélo TestTeam and four riders from Quick Step. There were also four others, Vicente Reynes, Angelo Furlan, Murilo Fischer, and Johan Van Summeren. The break would survive. Roger Hammond would sprint to victory, with Danilo Napolitano coming in second. Roger Hammond rode for Cervélo TestTeam.

On February 5, 2009, Frederiek Nolf was asleep as he passed away. His teammate Kristof Goddaert found him dead in the morning. Frederiek was born on February 10, 1987. At the time of his death he was 21 years old. Frederiek's father didn't want an autopsy to be done, so the COD (Cause Of Death) was left at natural causes.

The race organizers shortened the stage to 30km. Team Topsport Vlaanderen-Mercator, Frederiek's cycling team, didn't start the stage. The results of the stage were discarded; meaning the classifications all stayed the same from the previous day.
6. Stage 6 was the final stage of the 2009 Tour of Qatar. What rider cruised to the stage victory?

Answer: Mark Cavendish

Just 2km into the stage six riders broke free of the peloton. They would be caught in time to have a sprint finish. Mark Cavendish won with Robert Förster placing in second and Heinrich Haussler third. This was Mark's second stage win of the 2009 Tour of Qatar. Mark rode for Team Columbia-High Road.
