Arsenal finished the season in 4th place, this was lowest position the club could finish in to qualify for the 2007-08 Champions League competition. Finishing fifth would have meant entry into the UEFA Cup. Emirates were the club's new sponsor having replaced the previous season's company, O2.

Villa finished the season in 11th place after flirting with relegation. The team fell as low as 15th position, just avoiding falling into the bottom three.
