Lofthouse was given the nickname after an amazing display for England in a 3-2 win over Austria in 1952. He played his whole career with Bolton Wanderers, and scored 30 goals in 33 international games for England. None of the others listed were born when this game took place.
2. Which player transferred from PSV Eindhoven to Barcelona in July, 1996?

Answer: Ronaldo

Ronaldo played for Barcelona for just one season, scoring 34 goals in 37 games before moving to Italian giants, Inter Milan. Romario played for Barcelona between 1993-97. Maradona between 1982-86, and Koeman between 1989-95.
3. Who did Alex Ferguson replace as manager of Manchester United in 1986?

Answer: Ron Atkinson

Ferguson was knighted in 1999 for his services in football. Atkinson was United's manager between 1981-86. Sexton was manager between 1977-81, and Docherty, 1972-77.
4. Who were the last ever champions of the old fourth division in English football before the introduction of the Premier League? (1991-92)

Answer: Burnley
