The team in full was: Sir Alf Ramsay (manager), Gordon Banks (goal), Stuart Pearce (left back), George Cohen (right back), Tony Adams & Bobby Moore (centre backs), Tom Finney (left wing), David Beckham (right wing), Paul Gascoigne & Bobby Charlton (centre midfield), Alan Shearer & Gary Lineker (strikers). The poll left out such greats as Bryan Robson, Duncan Edwards, and Jack Charlton.
2. Which player scored the first goal of Euro 2004?

Answer: Giorgios Karagounis (Greece)

In a game that stunned the hosts, Greece won 2-1. Karagounis scored after 7 minutes, and the lead was doubled in the 51st after Basinas scored from the penalty spot. Ronaldo got a consolation for Portugal in the last minute of play.
