Brazil have won five times - 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002. They were runners-up in 1950 and 1998. Italy and Germany had won the competition three times each, when Brazil won their fifth:
Germany - 1954, 1974 and 1990 (runners-up 1966, 1982, 1985 and 2002).
Italy - 1934, 1938 and 1982 (runners-up 1970 and 1994).

Michelle Akers was a midfielder/forward for the USA team and starred in the 1991 World Cup held in China where she scored 10 goals (5 in one match) and won the Golden Shoe Award (later known as the Golden Boot). She also played in the 1999 World Cup finals and scored two goals.

She was also part of the 1996 Olympic Gold Medal squad. In 2000, she retired from the sport due to injuries that she occurred in the 1999 World Cup.

Answer: Alf Ramsey

Alf Ramsey was an English soccer player and captain who became the England team manager in 1963. He guided the team to their first World Cup win in 1966, playing at Wembley Stadium. A year later, he received a Knighthood for his services to English soccer.
