2. Tom Moody took two wickets in his test career with his first wicket being Martin Crowe. Who was Moody's second and last dismissal in tests?

Answer: Chandika Hathurusingha

Moody's total test bowling figures were 72 overs for 147 runs with 2 wickets, for the bowling average of 73.50 and an economy rate of 2.04 runs per over. His best figures were 1/17 against Sri Lanka in the Second Test at Colombo in 1992.

4. With whom did Tom Moody share his highest test match partnership?

Answer: Dean Jones

Tom Moody shared in century stands with all of these great batsmen except for Mark Taylor.

Moody's partnership of 173 with Jones occurred during the 5th test of the Australia v India test series at the WACA Ground in 1991-92. Tom scored 101 runs out of this partnership before being dismissed and played a large role in Australia's eventual 300 run victory over India.

8. Tom Moody was renowned as a big hitter. How many 6's did Moody hit in his One-Day International career?

Answer: 18

The most 6's Moody ever hit in an innings was four in his highest One-Day International score of 89 against Pakistan in 1990. Moody also hit seventy-four 4's in his ODI career and made 404 runs in boundaries. This comprised roughly 1/3 of Moody's runs in ODI cricket.

Answer: 28

Moody eventually scored 56 not out of 29 balls, hitting six 4's and two 6's.

Earlier in the day Tom had returned bowling figures of 3/25, his best bowling figures in ODI cricket, to help restrict Bangladesh to 7/178 of their 50 overs. Australia then overhauled this total after only 19.5 overs. Moody was given the Man of the Match award in recognition of his excellent batting and bowling performances in this match.
10. Australia won the 1999 cricket World Cup with a strong victory over Pakistan. Tom Moody's contribution to this game was limited to a solid spell with the ball. Which two batsmen did Tom Moody dismiss in this match?

Answer: Abdul Razzaq & Azhar Mahmood

Moody dismissed Abdul Razzaq for 17, caught by Steve Waugh in the covers, while Azhar Mahmood was for 8 after a good caught and bowled by Moody. Tom's figures in the Final were 2/17 off 5 overs. Due to good performances by all of the Australia bowlers, especially Shane Warne, Pakistan were bowled out for 132 off 39 overs. This was a total Australia overhauled with 8 wickets and 30 overs to spare.

After this victory at the 1999 World Cup, Tom became the only other player, with Steve Waugh, to be involved in both of Australia's triumphs at the 1987 and the 1999 Cricket World Cups.
