Answer: New England Patriots

After going 14-2 in the regular season, Bill Belichick's New England Patriots then put away the Indianapolis Colts, enroute to their 24-21 Super Bowl win over the Eagles.

Answer: St. Louis Cardinals

Although the Cardinals had the best record in baseball for 2004 by going 105-57, they were skunked by the Boston Red Sox, four games to none. The series included a shutout in game four. The 'Curse of the Bambino' was over.
3. Which former PBA (Professional Bowlers Assocation) champion died at the age of 75 in 2005?

Answer: Dick Weber

Weber was one of the first professional bowlers ever recognized, and was Bowler of the Year three times, 1961, 1963, and 1965. Dick won 26 PBA titles in his career. He died in his sleep on February 14th.
4. Who took home the Wimbledon Championship (tennis) in 2004?

Answer: Roger Federer

Federer won the 118th championship by defeating Andy Roddick, 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(7-3), and 6-4. The entire match took only two hours and 30 minutes. It was Roger's third grand slam, and was won on July 4th.

The Pistons brought their hearts to the game, and Richard Hamilton led Detroit by averaging 21.4 points per game. Chauncey Billups of the Pistons was voted the Finals MVP.
