Morneau hit 23 home runs which was a substantial dip from 2006 and 2007 when he hit 33 and 31.

Answer: Bobby Abreu

Nick Blackburn wasn't injured severly as he was able to stick his glove up and deflect the ball to take some of the speed away. Blacburn did have to miss a couple of starts though.
3. The 2008 season came down to a tie between the Twins and the White Sox for the AL Central. The one-game playoff was to be played at U.S. Cellular Field. The White Sox won the game 1-0 on a home run in the seventh inning. Who hit that home run?

Answer: Jim Thome

Paul Konerko and Jermaine Dye only had one hit apiece, and Carlos Quentin was out with a broken wrist. Thome hit the home run off Nick Blackburn.
