1. What sport has a plate?

Answer: Baseball

The home plate is where the batter stands. It is also what polite people use to put their food on.
2. In common with my favourite sandwich filling, the noble sausage, which sport can have a banger?

Answer: Billiards

A term for a new or amateur player who 'bangs' the ball with no finesse and who doesn't attempt to control the positioning, or who hits the cue ball too hard. A banger is what the English call a sausage.

Corn snow is formed when the snow repeatedly thaws and freezes and forms crystals about the size of kernels of corn. it is apparently good to ski on.
