Trance is the avatar for Tarn Vedra's sun and Rommie is the avatar for the Andromeda Ascendant. Doyle was briefly the avatar for the ship, while Rommie was out of commission.

As an additional note, the official series episode guide, for "Quantum Tractate Delirium" (Episode 518) Doyle is described as an avatar when she comes to Dylan's rescue while Rommie tries to choke him.

Rev Bem is a Magog, who has converted to the pacifist religion known as "Wayism" and continually fights the baser instincts of his race, which devours other living beings. In the Magog language, his name is an unpronouncable screech which translates to "Red Plague."
