Radio Telfis Eireann is the radio and television broadcaster in Ireland funded from licence fees, advertising and commercial revenue.
BBC is the British Broadcasting Corporation.
CBC is the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
NBC is the National Broadcasting Corporation (US).

Answer: By saying "Stop the Lights".

"Stop the Lights" has become a saying in Ireland as an expression of mock amazement.

My favourite was Mike acting as a French Rugby supporter constantly interrupting an on-site documentary filming being done by Irish legend Gay Byrne.

Answer: Fair City

With more than thirty seasons this programme has gone on to rival such British soap operas as "EastEnders" and "Coronation Street". "Tolka Row' was Ireland's first urban soap opera running from 1964 to 1968.

Answer: Eamon Dunphy

Eamon played twenty-three times for the Republic of Ireland but truly achieved fame as a broadcaster. He often traded verbal jabs with other former footballers such as Liam Brady and Johnny Giles.
