Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At the start of the episode, Jimmy tells Kim what really happened when he collected the $7 million in cash. What does he tell her Mike used to kill the men that ambushed him?

Answer: Sniper rifle

Two episodes prior, S5:8 "Bagman", showed Jimmy picking up the $7 million in cash that was left by the Salamanca twins to bail Lalo out of jail. Shortly after Jimmy drove away with the cash, he was ambushed by about seven men with machine guns. Just before they were to kill him Mike opened fire with his sniper rifle from a distance taking out most of the men. One of them got away until hours later when Jimmy created a distraction so that Mike could finish the job. Both Jimmy and Mike hiked through the scorching desert until they got to a truck stop and got picked up by Gus Fring's men.

When Jimmy got home he fabricated a story to Kim that his car broke down and he had to hike back. He fabricated a similar story to Lalo in the season finale that Lalo did not believe but Kim eventually convinces him and he leaves. After Lalo leaves Jimmy tells Kim the real reason why he was delayed bringing back the cash.
2. When Mike meets Gus outside the burned down Los Pollos Hermanos restaurant he tells him that Lalo has brought Ignacio "Nacho" Varga down to Chihuahua, Mexico. Why does Mike think Nacho has been brought south of the border?

Answer: He is going to get promoted within the cartel.

Gus Fring's organization had planned to kill Lalo in the same area that Jimmy had picked up the $7 million in bail money. However, when Lalo was driven down there he felt off about the situation and instructed Nacho to take him back to Albuquerque. After confronting Jimmy and Kim, Lalo had Nacho take him to Mexico via a different route. Mike believed that Lalo took Nacho to Mexico so he could meet the head of the cartel and get promoted to a more powerful role. Mike thought it was too dangerous and recommended to Gus to initiate a rescue mission for Nacho but Gus wanted to keep him as a mole within his opponent's organization.
3. Kim decides to go to the courthouse to pick up some case work. Who does she get this case work from?

Answer: Public defender's office

Jimmy is surprised when he sees Kim getting ready to go to the courthouse. He does not think it's safe but Kim tells him they have to live their lives normally. Having just quit her job at Schweikart & Cokely, Kim decides to pick up 20 pro bono cases from the public defender's office. She is amazed to see the backlog of cases arranged in numerous boxes labeled by felony type.
4. What additional gift does Lalo provide to Don Eladio when he is giving the cartel boss the Salamanca's portion of the drug money?

Answer: Ferrari

Don Eladio's cash provided by Gus Fring's organization is nicely shrink wrapped in large bundles. However, Lalo desires to have a more memorable presentation for the Salamanca cash payments so he provides Don Eladio with a 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS. Lalo tells Don Eladio to also look in the front trunk (which they comically call a 'frunk') where there is a substantial amount of cash inside.
5. Who does Ignacio "Nacho" Varga tell Don Eladio the Salamancas will take territory from to expand their sales north of the border?

Answer: Biker gangs

At first Don Eladio thinks it's a bad idea to get into a war with the biker gangs as it'll draw attention to them and inevitably attract law enforcement. However, Nacho counters that the biker gangs are divided and he will initiate a war between the rival gangs. After they fight each other, the Salamanca cartel will take over their territory.
6. Kim tells Jimmy that he has already gone after Howard's car and his reputation. What does she recommend Jimmy go after next?

Answer: Howard's hair

Kim thinks that Howard's hair is too perfect so her initial idea is to "slip him a mickey and go to town with clippers". Jimmy doesn't seem to thrilled with going after Howard again but he plays along saying that they can put Nair into his shampoo bottle which would cause his hair to fall out.
7. When Ignacio "Nacho" Varga prepares to flee Lalo's house just before 3:00am he is surprised to see Lalo sitting outside. What does Nacho do to cause a distraction when he goes back inside the house?

Answer: He sets off an oil fire in the kitchen.

When Nacho goes outside he is forced to sit down with Lalo and they talk about not being able to sleep. Nacho requests something stronger than beer so Lalo tells him to go in and get the 'Luis Trece' (Louis XIII cognac). While inside, Nacho puts hot oil in a pan on the stovetop and turns the heat on high.

A few minutes later Lalo runs in to see why smoke is coming out of the house and Nacho is able to escape out the back gate.
8. Amazingly, Lalo is able to take out all of the assassins sent to kill him. In what escape mechanism does he shoot two of them after he had come back from using that same escape route?

Answer: Underground tunnel

Realizing that he is outgunned and outnumbered, Lalo escapes through an underground tunnel that leads to the other side of Lalo's property. Instead of fleeing, Lalo goes through the underground tunnel and then circles back into his home where he kills the two guards inside. Lalo looks back down into the escape tunnel and sees two guards crawling through it so he opens fire at them killing them both as well.
9. Kim's next idea is to attack Howard's business with the intention of causing his firm HHM to settle a case that Jimmy brought to it. What is this case, named after the nursing home that HHM is bringing legal action against?

Answer: Sandpiper

Sandpiper Crossing was first seen all the way back in the episode "RICO" (S1:E8). In that episode, Jimmy found some misappropriation with the nursing home residents' funds received from social security and pension. Seeking to settle out of court, Sandpiper's attorneys offer $100,000 to compensate its residents but Jimmy's brother, Chuck, representing the firm HHM demands that Sandpiper settle the case for $20 million to which Sandpiper refuses.

Two years later, the case is still not settled and Kim estimates that Sandpiper would now have to settle for $26 million. She plots that if Howard was somehow disbarred, the firm HHM would have to settle the Sandpiper case and pay out the residents and attorneys and Jimmy's portion of that settlement would be $2 million.
10. What does Lalo order the seriously injured yet alive assassin to radio his handlers?

Answer: The job was tough but it is done.

Lalo finds the last alive assassin crawling in the backyard. This was the same assassin that Lalo had thrown the hot oil on seriously burning his face. Lalo orders this assassin to tell his people that the job was tough but that it is done implying that Lalo and everyone else at his house are dead. Of course this is not the case and Lalo just wants those that ordered his hit to think that he is dead.
