The car was overturned during the service. The detective felt that the spirit of the boy helped him solve the case. Paint from the boy's bike was on the car.

This was based on a late 1980s East Coast incident. The couple had faucets that would mysteriously turn on. The super couldn't find anything strange. Later, the bathtub and sink overflow and the super comes back. As a precaution, the couple and super check on the neighbor, who doesn't respond.

They find the neighbor in need of medical attention. After the neighbor is taken care of, the word "Thanks" appears on the couple's bathroom mirror.

The thief is scared by the increasing flames. Later they mysteriously die out. Inside the candleholder is a diamond bracelet that the daughter would have received. The father fully recovers and the daughter finishes school.

This happened in the early 1980s on the East Coast.
7. Flowers point out the killer in a murder in his uncle's shop.

During the late 1970s in New York (although the setting was Tacoma, Washington), a veteran detective is investigating a flower shop murder. There were no leads or witnesses. The weapon was a garden hose with no prints. A young detective thinks the flowers have the same emotions people do. A trial occurs and one of the plants points to the victim's nephew.

Somehow, the horn and lights start working. There is a note in one of the handlebars that traces the bike to Hackensack, New Jersey, their father's birthplace.

The brothers find out more about the bike from one of their father's friends, who offers them a job. If you were in New England in the 1990s, you might have heard about this.
