On the night the victim died, the party was broken up by someone shooting tennis balls at the group. The victim was partying on a billboard when they were electrocuted inside a martini. On initial inspection of the scene, Detective Flack and Stella find a live wire leading to the water inside the martini where the victim was standing.

Danny's victim had a severe gunshot wound to the head. She was about to answer a few questions in the ambulance before being taken to the hospital. A man jumped into the ambulance claiming to be her boyfriend. He reacted very emotionally and held the victim's hand. Danny's victim went into shock.

Normally when a victim went into shock in these cases, it raised suspicion towards a suspect.

Danny questioned the boyfriend about his relationship to get more information. The boyfriend claimed he was coming to the restaurant to walk her home and when he arrived his girlfriend was on a stretcher with the paramedics. Danny believed the best and assured the boyfriend he would get through the trauma.

The parietal lobe was a risky surgical operation because it controlled the victim's movement. The victim was also floating in and out of consciousness when the doctor evaluated how removing the bullet would affect her life. He told Danny a neurosurgeons would have to evaluate the victim's condition further before operating.

There was hope the bullet could be removed because it had not damaged any bones.

Detective Flack told Nick that he has seen criminals blame their behavior on wives, bosses, and even the devil, but has never had any blame their behavior on a shiny red light.

Nick explained that he had a new job and had been sober for over two years. When the billboard parties started up in his window view, he could not resist the urge to drink. He became angry and shot tennis balls out the window to make the music stop. He had no desire to kill anyone.

After reviewing the evidence, the detectives concluded Nick's actions broke up the party but did not kill the victim.

The pulmonary edema was not consistent with electrocution or drowning, which ruled out the water being caused by the display where the victim was found.

Dr. Sid told Stella the victim did not have a prior heart condition. After performing a CT scan to the chest, he found that she had a chest and shoulder injury that had been pre-mortem. The victim had been in a violent struggle before she participated in the party. The injury would have contributed to the water in her lungs and her death.

Lindsay could not place the reason for the cash and the lollipops until Stella took apart one. Stella discovered through the lab test that the lollipops were heroine, which sold on the street for an average of $40. The lollipops gave a motive for the victim's attack.

Danny and Mac found a set of footprints that backtracked to where the victim was shot. Upon closer examination of their victim's clothes, they found semen matched one of the robbers that had lost their mask. Mac concluded that their victim had been shocked to realize that they knew their shooter.

The shooter backtracked to shoot their victim in the head, hoping that it was a kill shot. They were not planning on the woman surviving or being found by the paramedics.

Before going into shock, their victim left a description with a sketch artist. Danny and Mac did not consider the boyfriend as a suspect at first, because the sketch was not very detailed.

Mac noticed that the doctor was hesitant when he revived Brady's heart for the third time. The doctor showed Mac that his brother was kidnapped and he was threatened for saving Brady's heart. The only person in the room at the time was Brady's boyfriend. Mac links the two together and starts gathering the team.

They discovered after checking the boyfriend's story, that he lied about Brady's past. Her mother was not coming to the hospital because she passed away ten years prior.

After pulling surveillance from the ambulance and hospital, the team identifies the boyfriend as one of the robbers that attacked their victim.

The red hair matched a jewelry dealer that Stella and Lindsay's victim sold drugs to.

At first the lady denied knowing their victim, but a cat knocked over the lollipops that the victim had sold her. When she was taken to the station, she told Detective Flack that she had left the victim alive. Flack told her that the fight she had with the victim had caused fatal injuries.

Dr. Sid decided revisit the billboard victim's body when they arrested a suspect for assault. He found that the victim had a high level of antibodies that were fighting marine bacteria.

Most of the poison was found in the victim's stomach and was not related to her other injuries. Stella suspected that the victim swallowed salt water.

Stella swabbed the inside of the olive beach ball and examined it under a microscope. She was shocked to find that there were miniature jellyfish that were poisonous. The killer injected sea water with jellyfish into the beach ball and left a slit for the jelly fish to escape. The jelly fish shocked the victim and caused the pulmonary edema.

The boss confessed to blowing up the beach ball after his assistant had passed it to him. He told Stella and Lindsay she had handled the ball and kept the jellyfish since a vacation two years prior.

When the boss asked his assistant why she wanted to kill him, she told him he had ruined her career. He pitched her ideas to the CEO of the company without giving her any credit. She put the jellyfish in the beach ball hoping to kill him in the office, but the jellyfish injection was delayed until the victim handled the ball in the billboard party.

The boyfriend's used a false name to get a job. The boss was happy to cooperate with the CSI team and let them look around. He told them they wouldn't find anything connected to his employee because they used gloves with their work.

Mac and the team collected one glove and were able to recover a full handprint. The handprint located the boyfriend in CODIS as Paul Campbell. The team was able to locate his full home address and a potential location for the hospital doctor's kidnapped brother.

The DNA was a match to the attacked victim at the robbery.

When CSI raided the location of one of the robbers, Danny found a piece of ripped money with serial numbers. The team scanned the paper to try to locate the rest of the money and attempted to find a location for where the robbers would be located.

Each of the bills had a unique fiber and code. The serial numbers helped the team track down the bank accounts, but did not help the team locate where the kidnapped victim was being held.

The ink was too faded on the boxes to pull an address at the first attempt. Danny was inspired to put the boxes in an incubator oven by one of Dr. Hawkins jokes about heat. The heat raised the ink of the address to be visible under UV light.

The CSI team was able to located the doctor's kidnapped brother and rescue him. Danny made the arrest of his victim's attacker. They received a call from the hospital that his victim would survive her gunshot wounds and the doctor was safe.
