Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At the beginning of this episode, who was scouring the ER looking for John Carter?

Answer: Medical student Michael Gallant

A new medical student, Michael Gallant, was seen asking for John Carter at the beginning of this episode. Eager not be late on his first day, he asked Haleh, Susan Mark, Luka and Abby where he could find Carter. However Carter was unable to supervise him, prompting Mark to beg Susan to take care of the "med student in need of a home".
2. Susan treated a patient who thought he was a vampire.

Answer: True

When a patient came into the ER claiming that he was a vampire, Susan was understandably skeptical. The man claimed that he had not felt like himself since he was bit on the neck by a girl he met in a bar, but when Susan examined him, she found that he only had a hickey on his neck. Nevertheless, as Susan left to call for a Psych consult, Abby informed her that the man did in fact drink "people's blood". As the pair made their way back to the patient, they found him crouched down on the floor, drinking a packet of blood, which he had stolen from the hospital.
3. What happened to Carter's grandmother?

Answer: She collapsed at home

At the beginning of this episode, Carter's grandmother was upset at the fact that her Jaguar was being serviced. Claiming that her driver, Alger, was holding her hostage, she also refused to drive the Town Car, because it was not the car she usually drove.

In the middle of this discussion, Carter's grandmother collapsed on the floor and had to be rushed to the hospital. Later on in the episode, it was revealed that she was suffering from "Shy-Drager Syndrome", a "progressive disease" affecting the blood pressure.

This put Carter's grandmother at "a greater risk" of suffering "a heart attack or stroke".
4. What did Abby find out Nicole was training to be?

Answer: A nurse's aide

When Abby caught sight of Nicole handling some of the ER's equipment, she asked what was going on, prompting Malik to inform her that he was "teaching Nicole to take blood pressure". Nicole then told Abby that she was training to be a nurse's aide. Moments later, Luka called both Abby and Nicole to assist him with a trauma patient, commenting that it would be good for Nicole to watch. Abby then had to show Nicole how to take a "pulse ox", but she could not do it properly. Later on, Abby showed her displeasure, by telling Luka that as Nicole was learning to be "an aide not a nurse", she should not have been called to the trauma room.
5. For what court case was Peter Benton subpoenaed in this episode?

Answer: Roger wanted custody of Reece

Since Reece's mother, Carla, died in a car accident, Peter had allowed Carla's husband, Roger, to keep in contact with her son, Reece. However, in this episode Peter was subpoenaed by Roger, who was "suing for custody" of Reece.
6. "We think you're killing your patients, we just can't prove it." Which frustrated surgeon said this?

Answer: Elizabeth Corday

This quote was said by Elizabeth, after she started scrubbing in for surgery, only to discover that it had been taken over by Dale. Angry, she confronted Romano, as she thought she "was back on service", having "complied with every insulting, demeaning request" and even "volunteered for a lie detector test". Even though the criminal investigation into the deaths of several of Corday's patients found nothing suspicious, she was still unable to operate on patients.
7. What happened to the security guard accused of pushing a little boy off his skateboard?

Answer: He tried to commit suicide

Near the beginning of this episode, a little boy was admitted to the ER after falling off his skateboard in a shopping mall. As he was not wearing a helmet, he sustained serious injuries, and had to be operated on immediately. Meanwhile the boy's friend accused the mall's security guard of causing the injury, by "throwing his stick at him" and knocking him off his skateboard. Denying the allegations, the security guard then started hyperventilating and complaining of chest pains.

Some time later, the security guard was found hanging from the ceiling by Nicole and Michael. Luckily Michael cut him down in time, and the man survived.
8. What happened to Mark's daughter, Rachel?

Answer: She was suspended from school

During his shift, Mark got a phone call from Rachel's school, informing him that she had been suspended. Accused of threatening a fellow pupil with a scissors, Rachel claimed that she threatened to cut off a girl's dreadlocks, "not stab her".
9. After reviewing various medical records, whose name kept cropping up, causing Elizabeth to believe that they were involved in the deaths of her patients?

Answer: Alexander Babcock

When Elizabeth reviewed the charts of the patients she was accused of killing, she found that the same name appeared on every one. In each case, the anaesthesiologist, Babcock, seemed to have been involved in some aspect of each surgery. Suspecting foul play, Elizabeth went looking for evidence of Babcock's involvement, even searching his office.

However, after finding Elizabeth trespassing, Babcock told Romano, who called the pair of them into a meeting. During this meeting, Elizabeth revealed her suspicions, prompting Romano to ban both her and Babcock from stepping into the operating room.
10. What was John Carter embarrassed to show Susan Lewis at the end of this episode?

Answer: His scar

At the end of this episode, Carter told Susan about his previous drug addiction and stabbing. Susan, trying to make light of the situation, then asked if she could see his scar, but Carter declined, seeming too embarrassed to do so.
