1. This looks like a peaceful place. Someone might even want to live there. What television show do you suppose it might be connected to?

Answer: SpongeBob SquarePants

SpongeBob SquarePants was created by animator Stephen Hillenburg, who is also a marine biologist. It concerns the goings-on of SpongeBob and his friends in the underwater town of Bikini Bottom. It is one of the highest-rated shows the Nickelodeon channel has produced.
2. A 1990s TV show was about a widower, his children and the friends who help raise them. Which show is it?

Answer: Full House

Danny Turner's wife died in a car crash so he enlisted the help of his best friend and his brother-in-law to help raise his three children. John Stamos starred in the series which ran from 1987 to 1995.
3. Debuting on December 17, 1989, this show has become one of the longest-running TV shows ever. Now what show, set in Springfield, might some yellow people be part of?

Answer: The Simpsons

An adult animated show, "The Simpsons" is about a family of five who live in a town named Springfield. Since almost every U.S. state has a town named Springfield we don't know exactly where it is supposed to be set. The show was created by Max Groening who named several of the dysfunctional family members after his own relatives.
4. The original incarnation of this TV series was set in Indiana. It was changed to be in Los Angeles, focusing on some high school students. Which of these could it be?

Answer: Saved by the Bell

Mostly a sitcom, "Saved by the Bell" touched on serious issues, such as drug use and homelessness from time to time. It was a reworking of the Disney Channel's "Good Morning, Miss Bliss". Disney dropped it after thirteen episodes and NBC picked it up, changed the emphasis from teachers to students and brought it to sunny California.
5. People live on the space station pictured but they don't have to share it with Klingons and Ferengi. But people who lived on another space station did. On which TV series did that happen?

Answer: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Set on space station Deep Space Nine, the third "Star Trek" iteration didn't go blasting through the cosmos but developed more interpersonal stories. As the station became the gatekeeper for the wormhole into the Gamma Quadrant the residents dealt with the explorers and nefarious characters it attracted. Avery Brooks starred as Starfleet Commander (later Captain) Benjamin Sisko, the first black actor to be the principal character in a "Trek" series.
6. Here is a picture related to a TV show about a man who worked for a power tool manufacturer but was a disaster waiting to happen when he picked one up to demonstrate. What was the show?

Answer: Home Improvement

"Home Improvement" starred Tim Allen as a man who hosted a show called "Tool Time"; he was inept at their use. He and his wife Jill (Patricia Richardson) were also often inept at family life and called on their neighbor, Wilson Wilson (Earl Hindman) for help. Running from 1991 to 1999 the show was wildly popular, being at or near the top of the ratings each year.
7. A story of two brothers who owned an airline was popular in the 1990s. Of course the airline only owned one plane and its usual flight was only 29 miles. Which show was it?

Answer: Wings

Compulsive neatnik Joe and his erratic brother Brian ran Sandpiper Air, a one-plane airline that flew from Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. Often it only flew to Hyannis, Massachusetts, 29 mi/46 km away. The show also featured some offbeat characters who worked at or hung around the airport. Though not a spin-off of "Cheers", it was produced by the same people so the "Cheers" actors sometimes appeared as their characters.

The show lasted for seven years and has been in reruns occasionally since then.
8. How bad is it when a TV show based on a not very bright cat and a psychotic chihuahua succeeds? Do you know its name?

Answer: The Ren & Stimpy Show

"The Ren and Stimpy Show" featured off-color jokes, violence and sexual innuendo, often only in the mind of the crazed chihuahua Ren. Stimpy the cat was described as having a brain "the size of a peanut". The show developed a cult following and lasted from 1991 to 1995 on the Nickelodeon network.
9. That's an interesting photo. It looks like a simple stone ring. Wait a minute - you don't suppose that it might really be a transportation device, do you? What TV show is hinted at here?

Answer: Stargate SG-1

Based on the film "Stargate", "Stargate SG-1" was about a U.S. Air Force special operations team (SG-1) and others who used an alien device known as a stargate, part of a network of devices on several planets. As well as exploring, they defended against hostile aliens intent on getting to Earth.

The show was on the air for ten years, from 1997 to 2007 and spun-off two other versions as well as an animated series.
10. Fifty-five years and counting. A certain British soap opera, depicting the lives of everyday people, has broken longevity records and become part of the UK's culture. Which show is it?

Answer: Coronation Street

Off to a shaky start, some doubted "Coronation Street" would last past its initial 13 episodes. Many of the characters strove to remain true to their small village roots while the world became more globalized. In 2010 it became the world's longest-running soap opera.
