When his favorite present, a pocketwatch, went missing, Roy went crazy accusing all of his friends of stealing it. After a ton of other things around the farm went missing, Orson discovered that it was actually a raccoon who was stealing everything. The last thing the raccoon stole was the mud from Orson's waller. Other than that, all was well that ended well.

After Jon got upset with Garfield for eating all of the food in the house (again), Garfield accidentally broke his bed. When the two of them went to the department store to buy a new one, Garfield picked the most expensive bed they had. Of course, he ended up not using it.

Rufus Crabwater threw mud at anyone who went near Jon's cousin Berferd's store as retaliation for the theft of his grandfather's antique watch. As it turned out, a pack rat, not Berferd, stole the watch. The mudslinging stopped, and Rufus and Berferd became friends.

In "A Tall Tale", Nermal was brought on as a guest star, primarily because of his extreme cuteness. He told the story of Paul Bunyan and his big blue cat. Unfortunately, his story was so unbelievable that the network fired him at the end of the episode.

Out on a horseback ride with Cactus Jake, Garfield ate all of the food supplies except for the dried pinto beans (no surprise there). While Jake was making his famous Mexicali chili, the steam from the fire caused Garfield to have a vision of a future in which he, Jon, and Cactus Jake were astronauts herding alien cattle between planets. Space cattle rustlers attempted to rob them, but Garfield managed to fight them off.

After getting hit with one too many pies, Roy quit the show to work for the only other cartoon available: the Buddy Bears! (Dun dun dun!) After less than one episode, however, he decided that being splutted with pies was still better than having 16-ton safes dropped on him (don't ask).

Before he could change anything, however, Odie ran into a construction site, and Garfield had to rescue him before he fell to his death. After getting covered in cement, Garfield was caught by the remote control's inventor, who promptly took the remote back and beat up Garfield offscreen.

During "Frankenstein Feline", he complained to Jon that Garfield had been continually stealing food from him, as demonstrated at the beginning when he stole a hamburger from Burnside's backyard barbecue. When Burnside threatened Jon's well-being, Garfield dressed up as Frankenstein's monster and scared him off.
