Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who is the main character of the show?

Answer: Seiji Sawamura

Seiji Sawamura is a rebellious (and dangerous) 17-year-old, and all he wants is a girlfriend. However, all of the girls are scared of him. He died his hair a strawberry-blonde in middle school, and sports the black Sakuradamon High School uniform. Seiji's unacquainted love goes out to the class president, who has had a crush on him ever since Seiji saved her from an in-school kidnapping.
2. Who has a crush on the main character?

Answer: Midori Kasunaga

Midori constantly envies Seiji from afar. This shy green-headed girl lives on a huge estate, located in town, and who's family has high expectations for her. Despite her wealth (and her personal maid), she is hard-working, organized, and a good cook. Even though she is in the 9th grade in secondary school, she still falls for Seiji, who is a senior in high school.
3. Our young hero lives alone, but his sister drops by some times. Which is untrue about his sister?

Answer: She started a gang in high school

Rin (Seiji's sister) is the one responsible for teaching him to fight. However ruthless she may seem, Rin still has the aspect of a caring and considerate sister. She only briefly appears throughout 'Midori Days.' Just like Seiji when he was young, she has dark blue/black hair. Rin wears late '70's style glasses, and rides a motorcycle.
4. How do Midori and the main character meet?

Answer: Midori becomes one with the main character's hand

This is the main problem of the story. Seiji's super strong right hand (so strong he can collapse a wall, ect.) turns into Midori (as a seperate entity). He bandages it (her) up and pretends it's injured. The only people that notice Midori are Seiji's sister, and the doll collector that goes to Seiji's school (he just thinks she's a hand puppet).
5. What is the main character's nickname?

Answer: 'Mad Dog'

Seiji 'Mad Dog' Sawamura is of the 'Demon' Right Hand. His older sister taught him to fight. He lost his first fight to three playground bullies when he was small, and apparently has never lost a fight since.
6. On a certain occasion, the main hero must do 100 one-handed pull/hang-ups to gain full-credit in class. He manages how many hang-ups?

Answer: 99 (ninty-nine)

He does the remaining one with his supposedly injured hand, but doesn't get the credit. Midori feels bad for supposivly being a 'burden,' so she reaches up and slowly (and sucessfully) proves her supposive worth by doing so. The teacher that assigned Seiji to do this did so as a punishment for kicking down a restroom stall door on said teacher, severly hurting him. Such has happened in the past, as and incident when Seiji 'Gorilla Footed' this teacher.
7. What color is Midori's hair?

Answer: Green

'Midori' actually means 'green' in Japanese. She has short, rounded green hair in her 'chibi' (on Seiji's arm) form, and longer, straighter hair in her original form. Even though both are the same person, the hair tinting/shading and the hair style of both of Midori's selves' are noticeably different. No one states why this change occurred, and we can only assume that this is just the character design.
8. In what country are our rebellious hero's parents?

Answer: America

No one ever says why they are in America. Seiji only briefly mentions them throughout the series. Seiji was left in his older sister, Rin's care, even though all she does is store her alcoholic beverages in his apartment's refrigerator. Seiji severed contact from his parents for an unknown reason.
9. 'Midori Days' is adapted from what?

Answer: Manga

Kazurou Inoue created the much-loved manga, which will come to it's end in the 8th volume. 'Midori Days' in neither a sitcom nor an actual chapter book. It appeared in 'Shonen Sunday' in 2003, the anime running a little over a year later.
10. Midori might be stuck on our unsuspecting hero's arm, but she is also in an unattached human form. What has become of this Midori Kasunago?

Answer: She's in a coma

Midori becomes one with Seiji because she always wanted to be with him, but never mustered up enough courage to confront him. This attached Midori is just as real as the Midori elsewhere, that lies in a deep coma, where her family worries about her.
