The original Peacemaker character was created by Joe Gill and Pat Boyette. He first appeared in Fightin' 5 #40 published by Charlton Comics in 1966. Dick Giordano, a former editor at Charlton, purchased the rights to Peacemaker on behalf of DC Comics in 1983. Peacemaker thereafter appeared in DC Comics' Extended Universe series.

James Gunn hired choreographer Charissa-Lee Barton to design the opening sequence with the cast dancing to "Do Ya Wanna Taste It" by Wig Wam. Barton brought her husband, actor Alan Tudyk, to filming and he stood in for Cena in rehearsal. Gunn's choice of hair metal music ran throughout the series. Gunn's script humbly describes the sequence as "the greatest opening credits scene of all time." The cast members play it straight and their faces are serious throughout.

Amanda Waller (played by Viola Davis) runs an agency called A.R.G.U.S -- the Advanced Research Group Uniting Superhumans. A.R.G.U.S. is a federal agency, working with the FBI and CIA, which utilizes the talents of superheroes to protect the United States. She creates a black-operations squad for "Project Butterfly" to find and destroy butterfly-like aliens who have possessed and are using human bodies to take over the world.

Played by Nhut Le, the Judomaster is accomplished in hand-to-hand combat. In episode 3, he interferes with the team's efforts to assassinate United States Senator Goff, his wife, son and daughter. Economos disables the Judomaster, permitting the team to kill the senator. In many of the scenes throughout the programme, the Judomaster is seen eating Cheetos out of the bag.

Answer: He is a white supremacist.

Robert Patrick portrays August "Auggie" Smith. When he is booked into jail in episode 2, the white inmates acknowledge him as the "White Dragon." Auggie is an ardent racist, hating black people and Asian people equally. In episode 6, Auggie puts on a super suit which armours him as the White Dragon, with the intention of killing his son. Instead, in episode 7, Peacemaker kills him.

In episode 5, the Project Butterfly team learns that the amber fluid is created and bottled at nearby Coverdale Ranch. In episode 6, they learn that the creature which produces the fluid is called the cow. In episode 7, fearing that the cow will be teleported to another location, the team plans to destroy it.

The title of episode 8 is "It's Cow or Never." In it, Peacemaker destroys the cow using the human torpedo helmet created by his father.

Protagonist Christopher Smith holds the somewhat-twisted notion that violence (even killing) is justified so long as it is done in pursuit of peace. He adopts the image of the dove of peace, consistent with this personal philosophy, and wants it engraved on all of his weapons.

Manji played Ray Butani, a real estate agent, travel agent, photographer, Christmas tree salesman, and closet organizer, on the CBS comedy "Schitt's Creek" (2015-2020).

He also played Rajiv Gidwani, a call-center manager for Mid-American Novelties on NBC's "Outsourced" (2010-2011). He portrayed the Reverend Jax, a missionary pastor on the NBC sitcom "Perfect Harmony" (2019).

Christopher Smith gave his pet bald eagle Eagly to his father to keep while he was in Belle Reve prison. In episode 1, he goes to his dad's house to retrieve his eagle, once he gets out of the hospital. In episode 7, Eagly is injured by Auggie and Peacemaker prays for the raptor at the veterinary hospital. Consideration was given to using a live eagle but Weta Digital produced an animated model that worked quite well. Eagly was "voiced" by Dee Bradley Baker.
