Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The first five questions are about "Rose". What are the initials of Wilson, the head electrician of the Henrik's department store?

Answer: H. P.

As Rose goes to leave the store for the day, the security guard hands her a bag of money, Wilson's lottery winning, for her to deliver to Wilson. When she exits the lift below the store, she goes to Wilson's door and tries to open it. His name, H. P. Wilson, can be seen on the door.
2. What colour is Mickey's car?

Answer: Yellow

Rose goes to visit Clive, a man who knows things about the Doctor, after seeing his website, and Mickey takes her along in his yellow car. Mickey thinks he's a murderer, who preys on people over the internet. Rose points out that he can't be a murderer because he has a family. Mickey begrudgingly keeps an eye out.
3. What is hanging from the roof of Clive's shed, when he and Rose are inside?

Answer: Bicycle

Rose searches the internet for information about the Doctor. When she types in 'Doctor Blue Box', she finds a page created by someone who wants to find out about the Doctor too. Clive is this person, and Rose goes to his house to meet with him. In his shed where he keeps his things, he shows Rose various pictures of the Doctor through the ages.

A bicycle can be seen hanging from the ceiling.
4. The Nestene Consciousness is beneath which major London landmark?

Answer: London Eye

The Doctor notes that there must be a huge transmitter right in the middle of London that controls the Autons. He can't figure out what the transmitter could be, but Rose does. She stares at the London Eye, and it takes the Doctor a few moments to realise, uttering his catchphrase, "Fantastic!".
5. When Rose swings on the chain in the Nestene Consciousness' lair, what medal does she say she got in junior gymnastics?

Answer: Bronze

Determined to rescue the doctor from the Nestene Consciousness, Rose tries to find a way to help. She spies a chain and uses an axe to cut it, so that she can swing on it. Mickey, meanwhile, clings desperately to the TARDIS.
6. The next five questions are all to do with "The End of the World". What colour is the skin of the Steward?

Answer: Blue

The Steward oversees the gathering at Platform One, and is also in charge of it. When he finds the Doctor and Rose in the observation room, he asks who they are. The Doctor holds up his psychic paper and informs the Steward that he has an invitation with a 'plus one', which is Rose.
7. What gift does the Moxx of Balhoon give to the Doctor and Rose?

Answer: Bodily salivas

And guess who gets the gift of bodily salivas? Rose, who happens to be holding the other gifts as well. Jabe gives the tree cutting, and the Adherents of the Repeated Meen give a metal sphere, which turns out to hide a spider robot.
8. What is the name of the observation station that the episode is set on?

Answer: Platform One

When Rose steps into the TARDIS for her first journey, the Doctor asks whether she wants to go backwards or forwards in time. After saying 100 years in the future, the Doctor takes her there, but remarks that the 22nd century is boring, so they go forward to the New Roman Empire in the year 12005. Finally, they go so far ahead into the future, and arrive at the Platform One space station in the year 5.5/Apple/26, or the year 5,000,000,000 as it is referred to from then on.
9. Cassandra's full name is Lady Cassandra O'Brien Dot Delta Seventeen.

Answer: True

Dubbed 'The Last Human', Cassandra is everything but that. Numerous operations and nip/tucks have turned Cassandra from a human to a trampoline made of skin. Her brain sits in a tank on the frame, and the only human features left are her eyes and mouth. She later reappears for the second and last time in "New Earth".
10. Cassandra plays two songs on the 'jukebox'. One is "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell. The other is by Britney Spears. Which song is it?

Answer: "Toxic"

Although it looks like a jukebox, Cassandra refers to it as an iPod. Soft Cell's song plays first as the guests on Platform One mingle. "Toxic" plays during the scene when Rose is trapped in a room with the sun filter descending.
11. These last five questions focus on "The Unquiet Dead". Where does the Doctor think they have landed?

Answer: Naples

This proves the TARDIS can be hard to pilot at times. The Doctor says he got the destination wrong. Reading a newspaper, he first declares that he got the year wrong, to which Rose says she doesn't care. He then says that they aren't in Naples, but in Cardiff, and Rose stops for a moment, with a strange look on her face.
12. Which famous writer is featured in this episode?

Answer: Charles Dickens

Charles Dickens, or Charlie Boy as the Doctor calls him, features in this episode. Several references to his works are mentioned, including 'the one with the ghosts at Christmas'.
13. What does Mr Sneed call the dead when they are walking around?

Answer: Stiffs

Before the opening titles roll, an old woman is shown dead in a coffin with a mourning grandson lamenting her death. The woman, however, comes to life when she becomes possessed by a mysterious gaseous creature. Mr Sneed refers to the walking dead as 'stiffs'.
14. What is the name of the blue gaseous alien creatures?

Answer: gelth

Pity the Gelth. During the seance, the head Gelth refers to the Time War, and how they lost their bodies and turned into gas. They seek refuge on Earth, and say that they can use the bodies of the dead as 'vehicles' so that they may live outside of a gaseous form. However, their true intentions are revealed towards the end of the episode.
15. What does the Doctor call the TARDIS at the end of the episode?

Answer: A shed

As the Doctor and Rose prepare to leave, Charles realises that there is plenty more to learn in the world, and that he has only just begun. When the Doctor says goodbye, Charles is puzzled saying "In what way is this goodbye?" The Doctor points to the TARDIS and says he's going in his 'shed' and for Charles to watch it.

When it dematerialises, Charles watches, fascinated, then walks off, laughing.
