Cecil, Bob's younger brother, returns when Bob is released from prison in "The Brother From Another Series", and plans to flood Springfield by building a faulty dam. Bart and Lisa catch him out, but when the police arrive to arrest Cecil, they end up arresting Bob again as well.

In "Day of the Jackanapes", Krusty claimed he was retiring from show business, but he made his fifth return from retirement because he missed the spotlight.

'Junior' wanted to avenge his father's death, as Homer had caused Frank Grimes Sr.'s death in "Homer's Enemy". In "The Great Louse Detective", the Springfield Police Force enlists the help of Bob, who they consider to be the craziest homicidal man in America.
