Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Gary Hobson gets an "Early Edition", tomorrows newspaper, and has a chance to change the future. What is the German title of this series?

Answer: "Alone Against the Future" ("Allein gegen die Zukunft")

Well, it could be worse - but why "alone"? Didn't he have friends helping him?
2. "Quantum Leap" shows a scientist leaping into different persons in the past. In Germany "Quantum Leap" is known as:

Answer: "Back To The Past" ("Zurück in die Vergangenheit")

"Back To The Future" was such a success that "Back To The Past" was inevitable.
3. Have you ever heard of "Trio With Four Fists" ("Trio mit vier Faeusten")? Can you guess the series to which these three underhanded persons belong?

Answer: "Riptide"

"Trio With Robot" would have been easier!
4. She is an "Agent with a (kind) heart" ("Agentin mit Herz"). Do you know her?

Answer: "Scarecrow and Mrs. King"

"The Bionic Woman" probably had a high-tech implant!
5. If you wish for "A Heavenly Family" ("Eine himmlische Familie") try the TV. Take your pick:

Answer: "7th Heaven"

I read somewhere (and I agree completely) that the Camdens are the Waltons of the nineties. So if you chose "The Waltons" you didn't miss by much.
6. Here are some more possible German titles (making up the incorrect answers was fun). I hope finding the correct answer isn't a "Mission Impossible"!

Answer: "Cobra, Take Over" ("Kobra, übernehmen Sie")

I'll have to watch a rerun some time - I want to know who "Cobra" is.
7. "A Colt For All Occasions" ("Ein Colt für alle Faelle"), sounds intriguing. By the way, we're talking guns here, not horses. What is the original title?

Answer: "The Fall Guy"

Was Colt Seavers named for a gun or a horse?
8. Angels obviously are everywhere, especially on TV. "A Touch Of Heaven" ("Ein Hauch von Himmel") is better known as

Answer: "Touched By An Angel"

This is actually a very nice German title.
9. If you would spend "The Best Years" ("Die besten Jahre") in front of your TV, which series would you watch?

Answer: "Thirty Something"

What a wonderful series! Unfortunatly it was broadcasted very late in the evening in Germany and there is a German series with a similar title, so people probably mixed them up.
10. In Germany "The Streets Of San Francisco" was called (surprise!) "The Streets Of San Francisco"! But to make up for this they changed the name Steve Keller to:

Answer: Steve Heller

I don't know why this was done. Maybe it was because of "Kommissar Keller" of the popular German series "Der Kommissar".
