Margot and Jules drive home in the night, Jules almost seeming to fall asleep as she smiles in the passenger seat. She laughs and tells Margot she almost can't believe everything had happened. Margot just wants to go home; Jules isn't sure if she wants to. As she says, she doesn't even remember what her family looks like; the house took it all.
When morning comes, Margot's father starts heading through the neighbourhoods. He lurks in the bushes as a man heads into his yard to protect his children. Before a confrontation can happen, he shuffles away.

Answer: The house and Margot's college money

Jules heads back to Margot's house, all the while trying to recall the images of her family members. While she has the memories, the people in them seem to be cut right out, almost as though shadows have replaced them. Margot, on the phone with her mother, hears her voice on the other end but can't form a mental image of her.

As her mother says, they've been apart for three days. Both of them agree to be more open with each other, and it starts then and there. Margot learns that her family was set to lose the house and her college savings, but when her father died, his insurance payout saved them. Upstairs, Jules starts to break down.

She sees JD in front of her, but he died in the No-End House.

Margot heads outside to be alone with her thoughts but she soon realizes she's not alone. Investigating a noise inside her pool shed she checks inside, missing her father hiding on its side.
When she heads upstairs, Jules confesses that when she left after the funeral, she left Margot because she was scared of being unable to support her friend in mourning. Now, though, she wants to help her carry the weight of the tragedy.
Margot's father struggles to keep his composure as Margot settles in for a nap inside. Jules decides to tuck her in and leave, but she notices the front door is open. She steps out to the porch to survey the neighbourhood, but she's grabbed from behind and told to keep quiet. It's Seth, and he knows Margot's father is in the house.

Margot's father struggles to keep his appetite at bay as he approaches Margot sleeping on the couch, but he's unable to stop himself. While she dreams about a childhood pet, he removes that memory from her mind and heads through the house to find his creation and eat it. Seth and Jules come across him indulging in the memory and, wielding candlesticks as weapons, knock him to the ground.

He begs them to let him go and that he has his appetite under control, but the evidence is there on the floor before them.

They agree, however, to hear him out.

Answer: Guiding him back into the house

Margot's father asks if they can work something out where they can be a family again and he can feed off her to make everything alright but she won't have it. Seth assures her that he'll keep coming back if she sends him away because it's in his nature. To get her father off her back, Margot pulls a pair of scissors from a drawer in the kitchen and threatens to cut herself; if she dies, so does he. With this threat, she's able to get him into the basement and lock the door behind him. Seth lays it out for Margot-- the only way to get rid of her father is if she leads him back into the No-End House.

She refuses to return and suggests, maybe, they kill him.

Margot searches her sock drawer for the one sock containing a bottle of prescription pills. While she does, Seth and Jules agree that they can't kill someone, but Seth encourages her to think about their living in the No-End House. In the house, all of them could live a suitable life, just like when he was tricked into staying there to live with a family.

He was able to cage off the creatures feeding on him for his own safety. Jules ends up distracted when she checks her phone and sees the image of the sphere from the house. Down in the basement, Margot's father looks around to find photos of himself and his wife.

Jules struggles to cope with her situation out on the front porch, remembering herself below the surface in a filled bathtub. She starts to head home and struggles not to hyperventilate.
Margot heads downstairs to find out that Jules is missing. Seth asks about the pills she has and she confirms that they're the ones her father used to kill himself. She has to do it though-- they're all the memories she hung onto, even at the expense of killing off all of her memories of him. Seth says that he can do it for her if she needs him to.
Seth is the one to open the door to the basement and he invites Margot's father up to talk.

Seth and Margot insist that her father eat the remains of his meal so that he can chat with them satiated. Margot asks if she can hold the part of the dog he's eating, if only to know what her memories feel like. She doesn't remember though and she asks her father to talk about the dog. Turns out, when they were camping, they found a young, nearly dead dog on the trip, brought it home, and nursed it back to health.

Unfortunately, she was allergic to dogs, as they would later discover, and they found a good family for the pet.

The dog's name was Moose; they named it after the river. Margot apologizes to him as he begins to cough and choke. She admits she did it-- Seth crushed up the pills and put it in his food-- because he claimed it was fast and he wouldn't feel any pain.

He suffocates on the kitchen floor in front of them.

Answer: Her mother

Seth informs Margot that they don't have much time to get her father's body back into the house before it disappears and they both begin dragging him to the front door. Before they can get there though, someone enters. It's her mother, returning from her work trip. Margot isn't able to convince her mother to leave with her and she sees the body on the floor moments before he awakens, vomiting up the drugged food and attacking them.

Her father attacks her mother and Seth, but she's able to slip away, especially with his eyes swelling shut due to the allergic reaction. Nonetheless, he stalks through the kitchen looking for her. Margot tries to sneak out the back door, but this gives her away and he grabs her.

Seth awakens with a broken nose and finds Margot and her father in the kitchen; he's aggressively feeding on her memories to heal himself. Seth, thinking fast, rips her father's hands away to stop the process. She awakens from her stupor to find her father crushing Seth's skull and screams at him to stop, telling him that she'll go back to the house if he stops.
Margot's mother later awakens in the hallways, but Margot, Seth, and the body are gone. They're all proceeding back to the house on foot. To their horror, it's still there at the end of the street.
Jules returns to Margot's house to find blood on the floor and the closet smashed in. Margot's mother has called the cops to give a statement. She leaves before anyone can notice and runs through the night as fast as she can...but when she gets back to the correct street, the No-End House is nowhere to be found.
