The original in the 'CSI' franchise, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" was first broadcast in October 2000. Set in Las Vegas, it showed the work of the police crime lab in finding the clues to solve murders and sudden deaths.
Catherine Willows was a member of the original team and was assistant head of the night shift until promoted to supervisor in season 9.
Marg Helgenberger was born on November 16th 1958 in Fremont, Nebraska. Her first thespian role was in a university production of "A Streetcar Named Desire". In 1982 she landed a role in the daytime soap opera "Ryan's Hope" and stayed in the cast for four years.

International audiences not familiar with BFTBS may remember Hill as Capt, Smith in "Titanic" (1997), and King Théoden in "The Lord of the Rings" (2201, 2002 and 2003), He also played opposite Clint Eastwood in "True Crime" (1999).
