Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Ian admits that he has which feeling for Jill?

Answer: Love

Tom awakens, having been knocked out, as he's dragged through an unfinished house. When he looks up, Ian's already there eating burgers to keep his strength up. It turns out that they're in Jill's house as her and Ian's father was developing it and, technically, it was all left to her. Ian makes a comment about Tom getting half of it in the divorce, but it's likely he won't live long enough to get it. Ian admits that he loves Jill in a pure and uncomplicated way because they have a fundamental connection and Tom is just too much of a safe choice.

When Ian doubles over in pain from his strain, Tom rushes out and Tall Boy swiftly pursues.
2. Who of the following is killed by the crayon children from Ian's mind?

Answer: A security guard

Jill makes her way to the ghost neighbourhood-- the development-- and parks her car to start looking for Ian. She doesn't notice the person lurking behind her. A security vehicle arrives and asks Jill to leave, but both of them are surrounded by colourful figures, creations from Ian's mind, who close in and kill the security guard with the weapons they have on hand. Jill flees while she can, hiding herself behind a mount of dirt while the figures pass on the street, but the sound of a power drill alerts her to Tall Boy's presence and she chooses to follow him instead. Tom lets his presence be known to her and the two are finally reunited.
3. Jill discovers that Ian has made a copy of Tom.

Answer: True

When Jill finds Tom he's sitting inside one of the unfinished houses in the dark, injured from attacks upon him by Ian's followers. He expresses that he loves Jill and she insists that they try to escape, but they can't do it alone; they need to bring back Pretzel Jack since he's her protector. With Tom's help, Jill tries her best to manifest a door in the living room window but she can't.

She doesn't realize that the Tom in front of her is connected to Ian in some way. Instead of escaping together, Tom tries to keep her in the house...but she soon finds out that he's just a copy of her husband.
4. How is Tom able to prove that he is his real self to Jill?

Answer: By bleeding

As soon as Jill discovers that the Tom she's found is not her husband, a chase commences. Ian breaks his link with the fake Tom to tend to his pain and exhaustion, but Jill is sent on a run around the ghost neighbourhood. She rushes to an open field, upends a sign, and uses its post to impale the creature in pursuit, plunging the makeshift stake through its chest until the real Tom arrives.

He confirms that he's the real Tom by cutting himself and showing his real blood.
5. Jill admits which of these to Tom when they look back on their circumstances?

Answer: She may have wanted to kill him on some level

As day breaks, the colourful children patrol the subdivision and Tom and Jill quietly stalk through the houses trying to find a solution. Jill is concerned with her state of mind having just killed something that just appeared to be her husband; she claims that something took over her.

She reasons that Pretzel Jack could have killed him at some point because he lied to her, and perhaps something inside her wanted to kill that part of him. Jill tells Tom to go get help, but Tom refuses; they go together. As they head out, Jill says something feels wrong.

It's because Ian's close. He emerges, claiming that their connection will always bring them together, though it's clear he's expending himself.
6. Where does Jill finally bring Pretzel Jack back into being?

Answer: In an attic

Ian continues to try to convince Jill that they would be perfect together; their connection continuously brings them closer and they're both special for it. Besides that, they can't escape. Ian sends Tall Boy after them, forcing them to seek refuge in a house, and Jill decides that she has to do something to save them both. Tom accepts that he did some wrong by her and apologizes for what he's done and he helps her out, urging her to bring out Pretzel Jack like he did with her, subconsciously, last time he appeared. Tom goes out alone to buy Jill more time and Jill heads to the attic to get to work.
7. In the first fight between Tall Boy and Pretzel Jack, who wins?

Answer: Jack

Jill sits down and concentrates hard on the task at hand, recalling memories of her childhood and trying to reform the door to reveal Pretzel Jack. It doesn't work though, and Tall Boy enters the house with his power saw in hand. Tom, knocking on doors and walls, manages to distract Tall Boy long enough for Jill to infuse her mind with memories of Tom, and doing this, she finally makes the door, opening it as Tall Boy reaches the attic.
And sure enough, Pretzel Jack flips out of the portal.
It takes no time for Jack to gain the upper hand, grab the saw, and slice through Tall Boy's head. Outside, Ian feels every moment splayed out on the ground.
8. What, according to Jill, is likely the only way to escape the neighbourhood?

Answer: By killing Ian

While Ian flees, Jill, Tom, and Pretzel Jack descend from the attic and arm themselves knowing that there's still a mob spread out over the new development. Because Ian can just create more forces, they have no choice but to kill him to save themselves.

It appears that Pretzel Jack is aware that Tom is on their side, so they all leave with the same goal in mind. Ian, running for his life through the streets, comes across the body of his Tom doppelgänger and takes the moment to recharge himself and reform Tall Boy with the dregs of his remaining energy.

In the attic, his creation returns to life and picks up his power saw.
9. Jill claims that she wants to do which of these with her powers?

Answer: Control them

Ian is chased to a house on the edge of the development and Jill, Tom, and Pretzel Jack let themselves inside as the children surround them. The three split up, searching the rooms for Ian, and Jill comes across the decaying body of herself laying behind one of the doors there. Tom winds up in the garage while Pretzel Jack is in the attic, but it's Jill who enters a large room containing countless colourful doors. Ian, inside, asks her to give him something to explain the connection they share.

She says it's there, but he's still crazy. The difference between them is that she wants to control her power, but he wants to hurt people. Ian moves in to grab Jill, and when he does, Pretzel Jack moves in for the attack. Little do any of them know, Tall Boy has arrived as well, and he drives the power saw through Jack's back, bisecting him before he can reach the room.
10. What happens when a door's creator dies?

Answer: Their creations die

Tom arrives to find the mess that Tall Boy has created and Ian's creation stares him down. Tom, moving quickly, dodges the creature's blade, rushes into the room, and locks the door behind him. Jill, grabbing her knife, stabs Ian in the chest while he tries to maintain control over Tall Boy and before Ian can do anything, the couple is on top of him, trying to bring him down with all they can. Tall Boy makes it into the room with his weapon and he lunges at them, but he hits Ian instead, impaling him on the door. All of the other doors he created disappear before their eyes.

Tom and Jill remain together. Happily, they raise their child together. One night, a door appears in the child's wall as the toddler cries in its crib. It opens.
