So she headed to The Factory, loaded her gun and took the elevator up. She waited and waited until Warhol showed up and then, when he returned to his desk, she shot him.

The local news summarizes the events that unfolded in recent days. Meadow Wilton was identified as the shooter responsible for killing five and wounding Kai Anderson at the city council rally. Ally was placed into custody as a suspect soon after, refusing to talk upon being apprehended.

In front of reporters, Harrison claimed that Meadow went off the rails after Hillary Clinton's loss, vowing to attack Trump supporters; Kai was specifically mentioned in her journal. Kai, meanwhile, finds out that he's won the seat on city council. Beverly leaves the news studio and a mysterious woman in black stands by her car smoking a cigar.

The woman tells her that the pantomime at the rally was terrible, and if she'd like to know a bit more about the truth behind the obvious man-cult forming, she should visit her hotel room.

Beverly heads to Kai's house to find men guarding the doors. A number of volunteers have arrived, as it would seem. People are answering the call and coming from far and wide. Beverly suggests that they need to start getting new blood on their hands to spread chaos, but Kai says it's time to sit back for a moment, take a break, and bring the law and order the people sought out. Beverly wants equal power with him, but he plays the trust card.

When Beverly brings up Meadow, he lies and says that she was a troubled soul.

She is, of course, convinced to head to Room 12 of the local hotel to meet with the mysterious woman.

At the Butchery on Main, Ivy tells Winter what she knows about Ally's situation, though it's clear she doesn't know much. After Ally went to prison, Ivy tried to talk to Detective Samuels about it, but he took up with Kai's new volunteers and never returned her calls.
Ivy and Winter don't have to wait long before Beverly stops in, bringing the mysterious woman with her and introducing her as Bebe Babbitt. As Beverly asserts, it's time for them to get a seat at the table rather than be pushed out.
Bebe tells her story though-- Valerie Solanas was the love of her life and she used to pay to hear Valerie read her 'SCUM Manifesto' out loud in her Chelsea Hotel room. With her followers, Valerie vowed to wipe out men. When they moved to San Francisco, Valerie said she needed to be violent to get her point across.

As soon as Valerie shot Andy Warhol, her plans were set into motion. Bebe and others amongst her followers donned their scum-coloured cloaks and headed out to a local lover's lane to start their reign. There, they found a couple and murdered them. As Bebe tells her story, Winter is the one to realize that the victims were none other than David Faraday and Betty Lou Jensen, both supposed victims of the Zodiac Killer.

It was always Valerie's plan for them to be the Zodiac and start by couple-busting; coupling with men would get women killed.

Bebe continues with a story from 1969 in Lake Berryessa where she and the women emerged as Zodiac, capturing a couple and stabbing them to death as a collective. Valerie orchestrated everything from the moment she was placed into a psychiatric hospital, planning until someone started sending ciphers to the police. Valerie angrily blamed men for the messages to the newspaper, claiming that they wanted credit for their crimes. That said, she insisted that they continue with their plan, only revealing themselves after they'd killed one thousand men for the 'SCUM Manifesto'.

She wouldn't be released from the hospital until 1973.

After being freed, Valerie says that she seemed to have an epiphany during her time in the hospital. She realized that at some point, she had to crack down on all men instead of letting a select few go by undisciplined. With the help of her followers, she outs one of her male SCUM members as the Zodiac copycat, revealing a diary containing the cipher found under his bed.

The women stab him to death and cut him to pieces, leaving him posed in the shape of the Zodiac symbol out in the desert. Valerie ended up going to the police with her list of victims, but they never believed her.

It made her snap and her crew dispersed shortly after.

Bebe couldn't be a part of it anymore. Valerie eventually went further into her madness, spending all of her time maddeningly typing out a new manifesto until the day she had her vision of Andy Warhol, sitting in her apartment and assuring her that she would never be known for her work.

He told her that her only legacy would be shooting him; she would be known for the man she attacked and nothing more. She died that day, tripping on her furniture and breaking her neck in a schizophrenic rage. Bebe tells the women that they'll all be the same if they don't reclaim the power they deserve, and they all need to resolve to strike back.

Winter returns home and finds Kai in the rose room-- the bedroom containing their parents' decayed bodies. He asks her if they'd be proud of him and she says they would be. He knows that he has to make hard choices every day and he'll have to do things he's not proud of.

Despite this, he feels the need to ask Winter if she'll always stand with him because she's family; she quickly affirms that she will. As she leaves, Kai tells her that he found the 'SCUM Manifesto' in her room when he was looking for her Adderall.

He's not angry though; he actually likes the idea that he should have a philosophy and a mission statement. He says he likes F.I.T. (Fear is Truth) but he also suggests M.L.W.B. (Men Lead, Women Bleed). He says the latter was Harrison's idea and he never really cared for it.

Ivy and Harrison end up at the Butchery on Main because they plan to hold a victory party to celebrate Kai's city council spot. Harrison, excited about the whole thing, says he wants to make Kai an iron throne like in "Game of Thrones". Ivy thinks it's a bit much though. As they head into the dining room, Harrison is surprised to find that no one else is there save for Winter, Beverly, and Bebe. They knock him out.
When Harrison comes to, the women have him tied to a board in the meat locker and Ivy has a meat cutter. Harrison tells the women he never created Kai's alternative acronym and he never thought Meadow would shoot herself, but it's not enough for them. Ivy uses the meat cutter to chop him into pieces.
Beverly reports when the body is found in a local pond, drowned in scum and cut into bits. She tells viewers that she worries the murder was done out of retaliation and hopes that it doesn't act as a sign of things to come. Kai is watching, of course. But he's watching with Bebe Babbitt at his side.
