Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In many racing games, damage taken to your vehicle is irreversible and can lead to you being wrecked completely and disqualified for the race. In "Blur", however, one of the power-ups will restore your car's health. What is the symbol for the repair power-up?

Answer: Wrench

"Blur" gives you a racing experience that takes real cars and combines them with power-ups similar to those in games like "Mario Kart". Most of the power-ups available are weapons, but you are able to get a shield as well as a repair power-up. You have to collect the power-ups from the track, but you are able to hold up to three at a time, which gives you the ability to pick up a repair power-up and keep it until you need it.

The repair will fully restore your car's health, but it does not make you immune to attacks.
2. Some games, like "Resident Evil 5", actually offer several different ways to restore health. Which of the following is NOT a way to restore health in "Resident Evil 5"?

Answer: Drinking water

You can collect first-aid sprays as you go along, but if you're running low, you can buy them in the menu between levels. There are two types of herbs available: red and green. Green herbs can be used by themselves, but you get more health if you combine them with another herb. Red herbs cannot be used by themselves and must be combined with a green herb, but this red/green combination gives you the most health from herbs. You can also find some eggs along the way dropped by snakes or chickens. Just be careful not to eat the rotten egg, which will actually deal damage instead of restoring health.
3. In "Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One", Nanotech is available for replenishing health, but if your health is completely depleted in multiplayer, you can be revived by a teammate. Which gadget can be used to revive a fallen player?

Answer: Vac-U 4000

The Vac-U 4000 is a versatile gadget. You can use it to suck in crates and enemies, and it can also be used to shoot a teammate across large holes or chasms that you can't jump over. If a teammate loses all his health, you will have ten seconds to revive them using the Vac-U 4000. If you are playing offline, the player will automatically respawn even if you don't save them.

While playing online, however, not reviving them in time will send everyone back to the last checkpoint.
4. Cole, the main character in "inFAMOUS", will regenerate health gradually if you can find cover. There is, however, another way to regenerate his health faster. What can he use as a pick-me-up?

Answer: Electricity

After an explosion that destroys a portion of Empire City, Cole discovers that he now has electrical abilities, which he uses to help restore order to the city. One advantage of Cole's electrical abilities is that he is able to drain the electricity from nearby power sources, such as light poles. Refilling his electrical meter will give him health as well as the power necessary to use his abilities.
5. In "Dante's Inferno", you can refill Dante's health by using the health fountains found along the way. What is the color of the liquid found in the health fountains?

Answer: Green

Health fountains can be found throughout the game, especially before fighting the bosses. Dante breaks open the fountains and the explosion of the green liquid replenishes his health. There are also purple fountains along the way, but they are for filling up Dante's magic meter, or mana. Yellow fountains sometimes give health, but they can also give mana, Judas coins, Beatrice stones or extra souls.
6. In "God of War III", Kratos collects various colored orbs throughout the game. The red orbs are the ones that restore his health.

Answer: False

Red orbs are experience orbs which are used to increase the levels of his magical abilities and weapons. Red orbs can come from chests, smashing items, defeating enemies, and performing combos. Green orbs are the ones that give health, and they are usually found in chests. Defeating certain enemies, however, can give Kratos a few green orbs. Blue orbs are collected to refill the magic meter, and are also found in chests or can be gained from killing enemies.
7. In "Prince of Persia", the Prince is accompanied by the princess Elika. Whenever the Prince is about to die, whether from damage taken or from falling, Elika saves him. She can also use her powers to heal the lands, but this drains her energy. What do you have to collect to restore her energy?

Answer: Seeds of Light

After the Prince and Elika defeat one of the Corrupted (followers of Ahriman, the god of darkness) in a land, Elika is able to heal the land and get rid of the corruption. After she does this, Seeds of Light appear throughout the land for you to collect. These replenish her energy, and are also used to unlock new magical powers. Elika gets her powers from Ormazd, the god of light.
8. "Red Dead Redemption" stars the former outlaw John Marston. When his health gets low, the screen goes red, but his health will regenerate once he's in cover. You will need to find cover quickly, but if cover isn't nearby, what is another way to replenish his health?

Answer: Medicine

You can buy medicine at the doctor's office, but it can be expensive. It does prove useful in situations where Marston is low on health and cover isn't an option for regenerating his health. Quickly taking medicine in these situations will get his health back up to give you time to find cover or kill the enemies that are attacking you. Marston can also eat food to regain health if you have any available.
9. In "Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom", Tepeu can collect life shards from chests and enemies to upgrade his strength, but what does he feed the Majin to replenish its health?

Answer: Blue fruit

You have to collect the blue fruit to feed the Majin, but it is found all over. Except for green upgrade fruit, it is the only thing that can refill the Majin's health. Tepeu will have to feed the fruit to the Majin by throwing it into his mouth.
10. "Bioshock" puts Jack into an underwater city named Rapture. Jack can use plasmids and tonics to develop abilities. Using some physical tonics and performing specific actions with them can restore his health, but that is not the only pick-me-up available. Which of the following is NOT a way to restore Jack's health?

Answer: Going to the doctor

Health stations will refill Jack's health, but you have to pay to use them. Hacking them will lower the cost for the player. Consumables include food, drink, medicals, and drugs, and they can either restore health or take away from it. First aid kits can be found lying around or on dead bodies.

They can also be bought from the Circus of Values, or you can get them by destroying health stations. You can only carry so many first aid kits at a time, but using them restores health immediately.
