Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Our hero, Link, may not be the best user of WORDS but his weapon of choice gets the job done.

Answer: SWORD

The series may be named after Zelda but we see much more of Link than her. He is the possessor of the Master Sword (it's so legendary it has several other names) which was made by the goddess Hylia as her personal sword. Over time it was enhanced to give it its present awesome power.
2. Elizabeth HURLEY is an actress but she's from the United Kingdom, not this kingdom, which is important to the "Zelda" games.

Answer: HYRULE

Hyrule is the location of most of the games in the "Zelda" series. It is an ancient land, scenic and prosperous. The royal family, of which Zelda is a princess, lives in a castle in the northern part of the kingdom.
3. They're not from the PIMA tribe, they're from the Sheikah tribe; they protect Zelda.

Answer: IMPA

Impa is the family name of some of the Sheikah, a tribe that has protected the Royal Family of Hyrule for many generations. Besides protecting Zelda they help Link from time to time.
4. CAROLE Lombard was a wonderful actress of her time but Nayru could travel through time. What type of being was she?

Answer: ORACLE

One of the so-called "Group of Lovely Young Ladies", Nayru, along with Din and Farore are the Oracles responsible for keeping time and climate on an even keel in Hyrule. They appeared primarily in "Oracle of Ages" and "Oracle of Seasons".
5. PINNERS may be small aprons but this device from "Twilight Princess" lets you float in air!

Answer: SPINNER

The Spinner is an old device found in the Arbiter's Grounds in "Twilight Princess". Link can use it to reach high places, float across quicksand or use it as a gear to make platforms and bridges move.
6. Sometimes a sea anchor can be called a DROGUE but these females don't need one because they live in the desert.

Answer: GERUDO

The Gerudo are named for the desert region they live in (although, in the alternative reality in "Majora's Mask", they lived on the coast of the Great Sea and were known as the Female Pirates). Known as a warrior race, some of them seem to be becoming a little more peaceful in more recent games. Because of a biological anomaly, only one male is born to them every 100 years and he is destined to be their king.
7. You probably don't want to make a PUREE out of this substance because it is the monetary unit of Zelda's homeland.

Answer: RUPEE

The rupee is the main currency of Hyrule. It can be earned by defeating enemies, finding treasure chests and sometimes just by walking through tall grass or bushes.
8. These birdlike people might start a RIOT if they appeared in your town but they became friends with Link.

Answer: RITO

As seen in "Wind Waker" the Rito evolved from the Zora after the Great Flood. They live on Dragon Roost Island in the Great Sea. Having both human and avian characteristics, the Rito are not born with wings; they get them by acquiring a scale from the dragon Valoo.
9. If I was playing "Majora's Mask" I might not see a MINARET but I would end up in this parallel world.

Answer: TERMINA

Link, chasing a Skull Kid, falls down a hole in a tree and ends up in the Hyrule's parallel world - Termina. It is more technologically advanced than Hyrule and somewhat culturally different. Clock Town is the biggest settlement in the land.
10. I'm GONNA be careful every time I get to the final battle in a "Zelda" game because this guy is likely to be in the dungeon waiting for me.

Answer: GANON

The human Ganondorf transforms into Ganon, a boar-like monster, when using the Triforce of Power. His mission in life, besides kidnapping Zelda, is to take over the world; Link may be the only one who can stop him.
