Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which is the only stage of the game not to include a way of reaching The Lost World?

Answer: Gangplank Galleon

Gangplank Galleon is the first stage of the game and, set on K. Rool's pirate ship (pre-crash) it doesn't actually have a spot to access The Lost World, likely to introduce the player to the main scheme of the game. Luckily, the first way in is just around the corner in Crocodile Cauldron; you only need to complete one stage, Hot Head Hop, to be able to visit the gateway.
Similarly, the last area of the game, The Flying Krock, also lacks an entrance. It is, however, attached to K. Rool's Keep, which does.
2. Who guards the entrance to the Lost World, no matter which entry point you take?

Answer: Klubba

Klubba is a Kremling with a single, simple job to do: Keep the Kongs out. When you visit one of the five Klubba's Kiosk locations around the game (each in different stages), he'll be standing in front of a spinning, golden barrel, protecting it from any intruders.

The only way in is a bribe. Optionally, you are also able to challenge Klubba to a fight, but his giant, spiky club will make short work of you if you so much as try.
3. Which of these forms of currency is required to visit the Lost World?

Answer: Kremcoins

To get into the Golden Barrel at any Klubba's Kiosk location, you need to bribe Klubba with fifteen Kremcoins; once you spend them, you can enter the Lost World from that location at any time. Each Kiosk grants access to only one level, so visiting each and paying up is required to complete them all.

This implies that there are seventy-five Kremcoins throughout the game; seven are from boss battles while the other sixty-eight are obtained by completing Bonus Barrels found around the levels.
4. Who is the only non-playable Kong to appear in The Lost World?

Answer: Cranky

Cranky's Monkey Museum is accessible on every visit to The Lost World no matter which kiosk you end up coming through. Like in the regular stages of the game, Cranky is really only around to impart his wisdom, specifically in regard to specific levels of the stage you're in. If you need to save your game, you'll need to return to the previous stage to visit a Kong Kollege. Likewise, because The Lost World is...elsewhere...Funky can't fly you in or out.
5. In Jungle Jinx, what giant items can be bounced on during their only appearance in the game?

Answer: Tires

Jungle Jinx is home to two things: giant spikes and giant tires. The tires will roll across the long stretches, protecting the Kong with well-timed jumps...provided they control their jumps. Standing under the rolling wheels will likely result in your Kongs getting squashed, so watch your step. To get to this first level of the Lost World, you'll need to pay your way in via Crocodile Cauldron.

It's also the first in the game to have a jungle theme, which is particularly odd since the first game had several such levels, and so early on.
6. Black Ice Battle is accessed from what other stage?

Answer: Krem Quay

Black Ice Battle, if you choose to access it from your first visit to Krem Quay, can be the earliest ice cave level in the game (as the others don't appear until K. Rool's Keep). In this one you need to navigate your way down through slippery corridors made entirely of smooth ice. Unsure footing could lead the Kongs to fall into spiky creatures or, worse, the path of a grey Klobber in a barrel looking to claim your extra lives.
7. Klobber Karnage is the third Lost World stage to appear chronologically. What is its setting?

Answer: Jungle

The second of only two jungle levels in the game, Klobber Karnage can be a nightmare for those who aren't fast on their feet. Klobbers hide in barrels, racing into the Kongs to steal their bananas and lives, and many of the platforms in his level are teeming with them, making progress a bit difficult. If they aren't taking your items, they're knocking you into a pit. To get there, you need to take Klubba's Kiosk, found late into Krazy Kremland (after you go through the park and emerge from the other side.
8. The Fiery Furnace is the only level of the game to feature which of these?

Answer: Player-moved barrels

For the first and only time in the game, the barrels can be moved with the directional arrows on the game controller, making the shots completely in the player's hands...except for the fact that they'll fire into the lava if you're not quick enough. The self-directing barrels all have timers, so if you don't fire them when ready, they'll fire themselves.

They also can't be rotated. Fiery Furnace is the only lava level in The Lost World. You can get to it from Klubba's Kiosk in Gloomy Gulch.
9. Which animal buddy does not appear in Animal Antics?

Answer: Clapper

For the final level of The Lost World, Diddy and Dixie need to become their closest allies. At the very beginning of the course, they become Rambi the Rhino, then move into an icy water track for Enguarde the Swordfish. Halfway through they turn into Squitter the Spider, then Squawks the Parrot in a bramble patch, and finally Rattly the Snake.

This level, reasonably, contains the most animals of any in the game. The final Klubba's Kiosk stage, you can get to it from K. Rool's Keep.
10. Krocodile Kore, the final location in the game, involves a battle against K. Rool.

Answer: True

Once you finish all of the different levels scattered around The Lost World (and defeat King K. Rool in his Flying Krock airship), the Krocodile Kore will open in the giant volcano. Here, it only takes a single cannonball to K. Rool's blunderbuss to end the battle, and when that's done the game will come to an end.

...at least until K. Rool makes a return for the next "Donkey Kong Country" sequel. You'd better believe it!
