9. "Metroid II": Which device did NOT make its first appearance in this game?

Answer: Varia Suit

In "Metroid II: The Return of Samus", we saw her ship for the first time, she acquired the use of the Spider Ball for the first time, and we were introduced to the Hatchling for the first time. The Varia Suit has been around since the first "Metroid".
10. "Metroid II": To get the best ending, the game must be finished how quickly?

Answer: Three hours or less

If you can beat the game in less than three hours, Samus will show you her "casual" side.
11. "Super Metroid": Which planet did this adventure take place on?

Answer: Zebes

In the third "Metroid" installment, Samus returns to Zebes to finish what she thought was already erradicated.
12. "Super Metroid": What secret, new ability has the hero learned in this game?

Answer: She can heal herself

If, at any time, Samus had less than 50 energy (Reserve Tanks must be empty), at least 10 Missiles, 10 Super Missiles, and 11 Super Bombs, then she could (1) select Super Bombs, (2) hold DOWN, L button, and R button simultaneously, and then (3) use a Super Bomb while continuing to hold down all the buttons, and she would be surrounded by a glowing orb and her missiles would be transfered to energy.
13. "Super Metroid": In the prologue, Ceres Station is decimated and the Hatchling is 'kidnapped' by who?

Answer: Ridley

The space pirate, Ridley, commits these sinful acts under orders from his boss, the treacherous Mother Brain.

Answer: "Nintendo Power"

"Nintendo Power" ran this strip in volumes 57 through 61.
15. "Super Metroid": Which of these has no effect on the ending of the game?

Answer: Times Saved

At the end of the game, if you rescued the Dachola and Etecoons, you could see their ship escape the exploding Zebes. The time you took to defeat the game decided how Samus looked in the end. The last thing you saw during the ending sequence is your percentage of items collected. You can save as many times as you wish.
