Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many 'eras' are in the game?

Answer: Three

There are three eras in "Sonic Generations": Genesis Era, Dreamcast Era and Modern Era. The Genesis Era included stages from the SEGA Mega Drive, or Genesis in the USA, Dreamcast Era included stages from the Dreamcast but (for some unexplained reason) included a stage from "Sonic Heroes" (which was not released for the Dreamcast) and the Modern Era included stages from more recent "Sonic" games.
2. What is the FINAL boss called?

Answer: Time Eater

The Time Eater is the final boss of the game where you play as both Modern and Classic Super Sonic. Like most other "Sonic" games where you can play as Super Sonic, your rings count down one per second.
3. What was the TENTH zone in the game (not including Missions, Bosses or individual Modern and Classic acts)?

Answer: There was no tenth zone

There was no tenth stage. Planet Wisp was the NINTH stage. Stardust Speedway was in "Sonic CD" but not Generations. Metal Sonic's boss was in Stardust Speedway but is not a stage. Eggmanland is a stage that is exclusive to 'Sonic Unleashed'. The boss Egg Dragoon was in Eggmanland, but is a boss, not a stage.
4. To fans' disdain, what is the robot that hangs in trees and throws items and who was NOT included in this game?

Answer: Coconut

The answer was Coconut, which was first introduced in "Sonic the Hedgehog". Motobug, Spiny and Buzz Bomber were all in this game, however.
5. Which character says "Hey, did you gain weight?" after saving them at Sky Sanctuary (if you save them with Classic Sonic)?

Answer: Knuckles

Amy is saved at Chemical Plant, the stage BEFORE Sky Sanctuary. Tails is saved at Green Hill, the very first stage. Shadow is a rival and has the fourth Chaos Emerald.
6. Which MAIN antagonist is NOT referred to as 'Classic'?

Answer: Robotnik

Perfect Chaos was a Modern "Sonic" boss, Biolizard was in "Sonic Adventure 2/Battle" and the 3DS version of "Sonic Generations" and Metal Sonic was a Classic "Sonic" boss.
7. Where do you fight the game's final boss?

Answer: Center of Time

The Time Eater is fought at the Center of Time as Classic Super Sonic and Modern Super Sonic. Radical Highway isn't even in this version of the game!
8. Which stage made the game it came from part of the main "Sonic" canon?

Answer: Crisis City

The original game Crisis City came from was (after the ending of it) considered non-canon by fans, but at its return in this game, fans then considered it canon.
9. Which three characters are holding onto the bench in the beginning of the game when the final boss kidnaps them?

Answer: Rouge, Amy and Knuckles

Rouge, Amy, and Knuckles hold onto the bench at the beginning. In fact, Knuckles even grabs Amy and takes her with him when he gets kidnapped by the Time Eater!
10. What is the Xbox achievement 'Supersonic!' for?

Answer: Clear a regular stage as Super Sonic

You get the achievement 'Supersonic!' by clearing a regular stage whilst playing as Super Sonic after the player has beaten the Time Eater at the end of the game, but only in the Xbox 360 version of the game. Classic Super Sonic is rather slow, but Modern Super Sonic is almost the same as normal Modern Sonic. Super Sonic can be activated by pressing the 'Y' button in the Xbox 360 version after at least fifty rings have been collected, and will count down whilst you're Super.

The only way to actually stay in Super form is by collecting more rings.
