Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Your first Peggle Master is Bjorn. Bjorn is which of these creatures?

Answer: Unicorn

Bjorn the Unicorn is met with in the introductory levels of the game and while his stages are often simplistic in design, you may find his techniques a bit hard to master if you're a first-timer. When you hit the green pegs in Bjorn's levels, you'll activate the Super Guide, a power that allows you to aim your shots precisely so as to maximize the amount of pegs you can hit in a single shot. Your shots will have two lines directing the ball into its second bounce. Bjorn is not the only mystical creature in the game though he is the very first.
2. Your current Peggle Master is Jimmy Lightning. How many balls can be onscreen at the same time if you hit both green pegs with the same shot (maximum)?

Answer: Three

Jimmy Lightning is a rather excited-looking skateboard enthusiast...and he's a hamster. His levels are often science-themed and outdoor-themed. While Jimmy only has five stages in the game, his power is quite useful for widespread peg damages. Hitting the green peg in a Jimmy Lightning stage activates the multi-ball; a second ball will immediately begin its course through the stage starting where the peg was hit. If both green pegs are struck you could have three balls onscreen-- and you'd get a point bonus for that one! You'd also get additional points for landing multiple balls in the bucket at the bottom of the screen on the same turn.

Not bad for a hamster, eh?
3. Peggle Master Kat Tut's stages often feature which of the following themes?

Answer: Egyptian

As Egyptians worshiped cats it seems only fitting that Kat Tut makes her home in desert and Egyptian-themed levels, five in total, where pegs are organized in unique shapes and patterns to suit the style. Her power is the pyramid-- when you hit the green peg, a pyramid will form around the bucket scrolling at the bottom of the screen angling outwards. If you're lucky with your timing you can bounce the ball on the edges of the pyramid to hit other pegs, bounce off the wall, or earn a free ball by saving yourself. Each pyramid lasts for five turns.
4. You've just hit the green peg in a level observed by Peggle Master Splork. What has happened?

Answer: An explosion has occurred

Splork is a space alien, thus all of his levels are space and extra-terrestrial themed. Don't let his laser gun scare you-- Splork's power may have to do with some heavy firepower, but it won't destroy your chances at becoming a Peggle Master. If the green peg is hit, an explosion will blast into its vicinity, wiping out all pegs within a certain radius at the end of that ball. If you happen to hit both green pegs in one turn, you'll receive extra points for a Big Bang. Splork's power is one of the very few to eliminate a large amount of pegs in a single strike.
5. What type of animal is Peggle Master Claude?

Answer: Crab

Claude the Crab is unique in the sense that he's the only character whose own body parts play a role in the power-up for his own stages. As soon as you hit one of the green pegs, two crab claw flippers will be activated at the bottom of the screen, one on each side (kind of like pinball paddles) which can flip the ball upwards into the air.

This, in turn, may enable you to execute large combos if you happen to possess the finesse that only crab claws can provide. All of Claude's stages are set underwater-- he's the only one of the Peggle Masters who lives in such an environment.
6. Renfield is the only non-animal Peggle Master.

Answer: False

While Renfield is a pumpkin (and thus not an animal) he is not the only Peggle Master to transcend his inanimate nature to play the game and contribute his power. Because he is a jack-o-lantern, his levels follow a Halloween theme and his power is, likewise, spooky. If you hit the green peg your ball will become a 'Spooky Ball', which has the power to fall past the bucket (which will seal) to begin the from the top again-- it comes back from the dead.

In other words, your points will continue to tally as though you were able to use two balls on one turn. Hitting the second green peg on the same turn will result in two cycles of reanimation.
7. Your current Peggle Master is Tula and you've just hit a green peg. If there were twenty orange pegs on the screen, how many have just been destroyed?

Answer: Four

Tula's power is quite unique as, like Splork, it's used to decimate a large amount of pegs if used properly. When Tula's power is used, 20% of the pegs on the screen will turn into flowers and disappear at the end of the turn; this 20% will always be the closest ones to the green peg that was hit.

In challenge stages where there are more orange pegs than usual, this is a particularly useful power-up to have. Tula is a sunflower, so all of her stages are in sunny gardens and outdoor areas. Coincidentally, sunflowers play a big role in another PopCap-made game, "Plants Vs. Zombies".
8. Warren the rabbit is the eighth Peggle Master. What does his special power involve?

Answer: A magic hat

Warren happens to be a magically-inclined rabbit, so if you hit the green peg in any of his five stages you'll activate a random wheel containing four spaces. Two of these spaces contain his unique power, the Magic Hat, which makes the peggle ball larger, faster, and easier to hit pegs with. You have a fifty percent chance of spinning this option in the roulette.

The other two options are usually taken by two of three other possibilities-- a score-tripler, an extra ball, or another power seen from other Peggle Masters.
9. The ninth Peggle Master is a wyvern who goes by which name?

Answer: Lord Cinderbottom

Lord Cinderbottom is probably the largest creature to be a Peggle Master-- his power-up is similarly awesome in its strength. When you hit the green peg in any of his levels, the next ball you shoot will be a fireball with the ability to shoot through any pegs it comes into contact with-- keeping the fireball going is the real trick. Hitting both green pegs will result in the Great Balls of Fire bonus (with extra points, of course).

When you use the fireball, the bucket will seal up and prevent you from entering it unless you happen to hit it open. Unless you can cleverly maneuver the fireball in for a free ball, you may be at risk of losing it.
10. What kind of ball is created when you hit the green peg with Master Hu as your Peggle Master?

Answer: Zen

The Zen Ball is unique in the sense that it will do most of the work for you in a turn. When obtained, the Zen Ball enables you to fire in any direction; it will automatically realign the shot to give the best possible outcome-- if you shoot at a particular peg it will change the angle ever-so-slightly to give a more favourable result, possibly hitting several orange pegs on the way. Master Hu, an owl wearing a turban, is the final of the ten Peggle Masters in the original "Peggle". Once you've completed his five stages, you've cleared the Peggle Institute!
