Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What item is required to defeat Digdogger in the original "Legend of Zelda"?

Answer: Recorder

The recorder is found in Level 5 in the first quest, the same area where you'll face Digdogger. Appearing to be a sort of giant sea urchin, the Digdogger is one of the strangest boss enemies in "Zelda" history!
2. Ganondorf may be the Demon King, but he can be easily defeated by distracting him with which item in "Twilight Princess"?

Answer: Fishing Rod

This trick is not a glitch, but was intentionally included in the game. A similar trick works on Demise's first form in "Skyward Sword", using the Bug Net as a distraction.
3. Which of these "Zelda" bosses has more than one eye?

Answer: Vitreus

All of these "Zelda" bosses are one-eyed monstrosities. Vitreus, however, is a gigantic eyeball surrounded by several smaller ones submerged in an acidic green liquid. Technically, that means this boss has more than one eye!
4. In which of these games does Dark Link NOT appear?

Answer: Minish Cap

Dark Link made his first appearance in "Zelda II" (as Link's Shadow). He has appeared in several "Zelda" titles since then, most memorably as a mid-boss in "Ocarina of Time".
5. How many arms does Koloktos have?

Answer: Six

Koloktos is a mechanical statue brought to life by Ghirahim in "Skyward Sword". It is encountered in the Ancient Cistern.
6. Which of these bosses is not fought underwater?

Answer: Waterblight Ganon

As his name suggests, Waterblight Ganon uses water and ice-based attacks. However, at no point in the battle is the player submerged underwater.
7. Sometimes a big bad video game boss isn't what he appears. Which of these boss characters is clearly the weakest?

Answer: Big Octorok

"Minish Cap" allowed Link to shrink down to the size of a pea. The game features battles against two huge enemies, the Big Octorok and Big Green Chuchu, who are really just normal-sized enemies picking on a miniature Link!
8. In "Link's Awakening", who is the final boss of the Bottle Grotto dungeon?

Answer: Genie

Bottle Grotto is the second dungeon in "Link's Awakening". BowWow is required before Link can enter - he will eat the flowers blocking the entrance.
9. Which of these is NOT one of the forms of Nightmare, the final boss in "Link's Awakening"?

Answer: Manhandla

Nightmare takes on six different forms at the end of "Link's Awakening". They are Giant Bot, Agahnim, Moldorm, Ganon, Lanmola and finally, Dethl.
10. In which game did the player first learn the origins of Vaati, a boss character in various" Zelda" games?

Answer: Minish Cap

Vaati first appeared in "Four Swords", which was a bonus multiplayer game included with the GBA version of "Link to the Past". However, his backstory was not revealed until "Minish Cap", also for Game Boy Advance.
