2. Where had JFK been earlier in the day, before heading to Dallas?

Answer: Chamber of Commerce breakfast in Fort Worth

While Kennedy was inside speaking at the breakfast, throngs of enthusiastic Texans gathered outside in the parking lot. Among them was a young girl who grew up to be one of my co-teachers. She was able to shake JFK's hand when he came out to greet the masses. Talk about being touched by history!
3. As the motorcade drove through downtown Dallas, it passed through Dealey Plaza. Who was Dealey?

Answer: First general manager of "The Dallas Morning News"

Dealey Plaza was named for George Bannerman Dealey (1859-1946), the first general manager of "The Dallas Morning News". Dealey Plaza was built in 1940.
4. What kind of car was JFK riding in that day?

Answer: Navy blue Lincoln Continental limousine

JFK was riding in a 1961 Lincoln Continental four-door convertible limousine. It was custom built by Hess & Eisenhardt and was known as the X-100.
5. According to the Warren Commission, in what building was Lee Harvey Oswald lying in wait for JFK?

Answer: Texas School Book Depository Building

All these buildings are either on or near Dealey Plaza. The Old Red Courthouse is now a museum of Dallas history. The Dallas Morning News building is just down the street, and the first Masonic Temple, originally on the site of Dealey Plaza, has been razed.
6. What type of gun did Lee Harvey Oswald use?

Answer: 6.5 mm caliber Carcano rifle

Lee Harvey Oswald purchased the Carcano rifle (sometimes referred to as a Mannlicher-Carcano) by mail order for $21.45 including shipping.
7. According to the Warren Commission, who else did Oswald kill that day?

Answer: Dallas Police Officer J.D. Tippit

Officer Tippit was on patrol in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas fifteen minutes after the assassination. He saw a man that resembled descriptions of the assassin. It turned out to be Oswald. As soon as Tippit pulled up to the sidewalk and left his patrol car, Oswald shot him multiple times, the last directly in the head. Benavides and Markham were both witnesses to the shooting. Governor Connolly was riding with JFK in the limousine and was also shot by Oswald.

He survived the shooting and died in 1993.
8. Who took the most famous film of the Kennedy assassination?

Answer: Abraham Zapruder

9. To which hospital was JFK taken?

Answer: Parkland Hospital

The original Parkland Hospital opened in 1894 at Oak Lawn Avenue and Maple. The name Parkland came from the land on which the hospital was built, originally purchased by the city as a park. In 1954, it moved to its current location, about a mile from the original site.
10. Where was JFK going when he was shot?

Answer: Luncheon at Dallas Trade Mart

The main room at Dallas Trade Mart was filled with hundreds of invited guests. They waited patiently for JFK for quite some time. When word of the shooting reached them, they prayed fervently for the president's recovery. The very table setting JFK would have eaten from at that luncheon is today in the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza.
