English is my native language and I'm fluent in French and German. Furthermore, I studied Latin at school and am currently learning Russian. I'm really impressed with the language skills of Fun Trivia members - almost all of those who've posted replies on this board have far better language abilites than I do! I thought I was doing pretty well 'til I encountered you lot... :( Reply #41. Jan 12 04, 7:01 PM |

I speak English, but have some training in French but am not fluent,as I only have two years so far of it. I know a bit of Latin (and hope to be fluent someday because I want to be a vet and knowing Latin would make remembering everything way simpler). I also want to learn Gaelic (because my dad's family came from Ireland). Reply #43. Feb 16 04, 11:57 PM |

Well, which language should I name here? I speak 5 lngauges and am learning the sixth one. Two are my own languages, then I speak English, Dutch, Urdu, and am learning Germans. I think Germans is very difficult langauge, with it's complicated Grammer it just kills me. Dutch is also difficult, but now I am going on with it, getting better. Reply #45. Feb 24 04, 9:38 AM |

I speak English fluently and German to a capable degree. I think the hardest thing with learning new languages is the new grammer concepts! It can be confusing :( Reply #48. Mar 09 04, 4:38 AM |

hi all, in my opinion German is the easiest language in the world (but probably only for Germans :D ), so I learn Spanish, French and English too. Here just a little sentence to think about: Denke nicht gedacht zu haben, denn das Denken der Gedanken ist gedankenloses Denken; Wenn du denkst, du denkst, so denkst du, dass du denkst, aber denken tust du nie. I can only speak English, but I am learning Spanish at school. I used to be able to speak fluent marathi, but I forgot most of it when I started school, but I also know a couple of words in another language. I am not sure whether it is marathi or tamil though. Reply #52. Mar 13 04, 10:12 PM |

I speak English fluently, but I wish to learn Hindu, French, and Japanese. They don't teach Hindu in schools so I have been teaching myself. It's a reall hard language. But next year I'll be taking French or Japenese if I'm lucky. Reply #54. Mar 21 04, 5:15 PM |

Oracle, I usually have to tell people to USE capitals, now I'm asking you to only use them in the normal places ie at the beginning of sentences or names. I know in German many words are capitalised, but I don't know about Swedish. Thanks, satguru, board moderator. Reply #57. Apr 07 04, 7:10 AM |
