Hmmm, I see the outline of a theme there, wandering through the world of entertainment. Mario - video games character who has fireBALL power in at least one game Eight - magic 8-BALL or the pool game Saiyan - characters from the manga/anime DragonBALL But I could be imagining things. The meter plays strange games with us! Reply #1. Mar 29 20, 10:51 PM |

My first thought was Mario Kart, which, generally, has 8 racers but then those Dragon baller dudes threw me Reply #2. Mar 29 20, 11:38 PM |

I have a quiz mostly done in that zone, might just throw it on the heap and see how it goes Reply #3. Mar 29 20, 11:39 PM |

It's been a while since we had a Quiz-O-Meter appear. Sometimes the best way to feel out what it wants is to just start trying the options. Sometimes they work; sometimes they don't. Reply #4. Mar 30 20, 12:02 AM |

It could be "super" too. Super Mario, Super Eight, Super Saiyan. Reply #5. Mar 30 20, 8:18 AM |

Wait, someone please explain what a Quiz-o-Meter is like? Reply #7. Apr 01 20, 1:45 PM |

angikar, the game consists of cryptic clues, released one at a time. Authors have to try and guess what is required for a quiz to satisfy the meter by producing a quiz that fits the clue. If it doesn't work, nothing happens and we have to try again; If the meter accepts the quiz and it gets posted in the header, the next cryptic clue is released. There have been four earlier versions, which you can explore in the thread for completed challenges. Reply #8. Apr 01 20, 2:07 PM |

Even when the meter accepts a quiz, it's still challenging to work out why. Reply #9. Apr 01 20, 2:11 PM |

I don't know about Saiyan, but Eight Men Out and The Natural were both baseball movies Reply #10. Apr 02 20, 1:53 AM |

Pollucci your quiz containing the word "super" seems to of satisfied the requirement. Super Mario (video games) Super Eight (hotel) Super Saiyan (Dragon Ball Z) Super Natural (TV or song or saying) So now you have your quiz up do we get another clue or do we need more quizzes with the word "super" in it? I thought "Natural" WAS the new clue. Am I missing something? Reply #12. Apr 02 20, 1:29 PM |

Natural is the new clue - now we need something that meets all four words. I will try ball, if I have time before someone else satisfies the meter. Reply #13. Apr 02 20, 3:13 PM |

It almost seems like it tacks on right there at the second-to-bottom spot at the meter, but there's something that's stopping it from fitting there. :( Reply #18. Apr 10 20, 9:51 AM |

A thought. The first quiz of course had "super" in the title. Super is the only word that really works with all four clue words. The first quiz ALSO was in the "Mario" Kart category and had the name Mario in the quiz description. Maybe the second quiz should have both "eight" and "super" in the name and or category? Not sure if anyone is working on a quiz that could fit that category. Reply #19. Apr 10 20, 11:16 AM |
