"Evel" Dick entered the house as part of the season eight's first twist. Daniele Donato was Dick's estranged daughter and the hadn't spoken in years, but they used the game to work on their relationship and somehow managed to finish together in the top two spots. This was the first time that relatives swept the Final Two of "Big Brother". Dick was even up for eviction at one point and managed to survive the block solely due to America's Player casting America's vote in Dick's favor.

Paul finished second in two consecutive seasons of "Big Brother". Nicole Franzel beat Paul by a vote of 5-4, to win "Big Brother 18". Paul returned the following summer where he used "friendship" to get him back to the Final Two, where he came up just short again to Josh Martinez by a vote of 5-4.

Marcellas had been nominated by Jason and won the veto. However, believing he was safe and out of respect for Jason, Marcellas did not use the veto. The vote ended in a tie and Jason broke the tie by evicted Marcellas. Marcellas shocked looked as he walked out of the house is one of the most iconic images of the series. Julie Chen scolded Marcellas afterward for not saving himself.
