Honshu is Japan's largest island. It contains cities such as Tokyo, Nagoya, and Yokohama, where the final game of the 2002 World Cup was played. Brazil won!

Answer: Tokyo

Tokyo is not only Japan's largest city, it is one of the largest cities in the world. It has over 33 million people in its metropolitan area. Politically, the city of Tokyo no longer exists. By 1943 the city had subsumed so much of the surrounding areas it became a prefecture in its own right.

This was changed again and now the Tokyo Metropolitan Government runs the greater Tokyo area, two island chains and over thirty municipalities to the west of Tokyo.
