4. All of these major European roller coasters with five letter names are certainly worth a ride - but which one is the only wooden one of them? (Read the names aloud - it might help!)

Answer: Wodan

The name "Wodan" was specifically chosen for Europa Park's first (and so far only) wooden coaster because of the similarity in pronunciation - and the name also directly fits the Icelandic theme area where it is located - Wodan is the father and ruler of the old Germanic Gods. It features a highly variable layout with a lot of small twists and airtime moments, but, like all traditional wooden coasters, does not turn riders upside down.

Taron is a very compact double-launch coaster also featuring tight directional changes and intense airtime at Phantasialand but, also, no inversions. Fenix is a wing coaster with three inversions located at Toverland (if you get to ride it, choose the right side - it's more intense) while Helix features a full seven inversions, including a slow corkscrew right out of the station before the train is launched onto the course. All three are steel coasters.
