2. For Marlon Brando, Bette Davis and Elvis Presley the quiff hairstyle impressed. Which band wore quiffs early on but soon started what many called a "mop head" craze?

Answer: The Beatles

To wear a quiff the hair at the front is brushed back and high, worn famously by Madame de Pompadour, James Dean and the British "teddy boys". Native Americans did it, so did the Japanese "yakuza" (organized crime), and it was big in the 1950s. Then along came the Beatles in 1962 with hair below the collar and long bangs--a culture shock to those who called it messy and girlish, like the end of a mop! But the young went wild for it. Still the quiff lives on.

In 2012 many celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Gwen Stefani and Kate Winslet wore the rebellious and trendy quiff while walking Hollywood's red carpet.

3. Dick Grayson, from comic books, television series and films, is better known as whom?

Answer: Robin

Dick Grayson and his parents, John and Mary, worked as trapeze artists for a circus. After his parents are killed by gangsters trying to extort money from the circus, Bruce Wayne (Batman) warns the boy not to tell the police, or he could be killed, too.

Then Wayne gives the boy a home, adopts him, and trains him to help fight crime. He is given the name 'Robin, the Boy Wonder' after Robin Hood. Later he goes on to lead the 'Teen Titans', and then goes on to become 'Nightwing'.

4. Which Looney Tunes cartoon character, nemesis of Daffy Duck and his future self: Duck Dodgers, lived on a different planet and wore a helmet with a crest that resembled a broom head?

Answer: Marvin the Martian

Debuting in 1948's "Haredevil Hare" against Bugs Bunny, Marvin the Martian had a companion called K-9 before the great Doctor Who. Mel Blanc, who did many Chuck Jones characters, voiced Marvin in a proper English accent. His habitat of space has made him the perfect foil in Daffy's "Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century". First teamed in a short animation in 1953, the pair has developed into their own TV series. Success can do that to you.

Answer: Bonanza

William Boyd portrayed Hopalong Cassidy on both radio and the TV series. William Conrad played Marshal Matt Dillon on the "Gunsmoke" of radio and although he had a deep and dignified voice, his stocky build was a detriment to a hero image on TV and the role was given to the tall, rugged James Arness.
