At the request of Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, he created "Chanel No. 5", which was and remains one of the most iconic fragrances. Its bottle design also helped in its success. Coco Chanel told Ernest Beaux that the perfume should be called "Number 5" because this was her lucky number. This famous perfume was launched on the fifth day of the fifth month of 1921. The product was presented in three concentrations: Parfum, Eau de Toilette and Eau de Cologne. It can currently be found in other concentrations.

In 1937, Coco Chanel appeared as the first face to advertise this perfume. Over these 100 years many beauties have appeared as the face of this perfume. Perhaps the spokesperson most remembered for her connection to the perfume is Marilyn Monroe, who, in an interview for "Marie Claire" magazine, in 1952, stated that to sleep she wore "nothing but a few drops of No. 5".

The Disney World version of "Flight to the Moon" was based on a Disneyland attraction that was originally called "Rocket to the Moon" in 1955 and changed its name in 1967. When the Disney World version was being designed in the late 1960s, the Apollo missions were still in progress with Apollo 11 occurring in 1969. By 1975, the Apollo Program was concluded and a trip to the moon was seen as not quite as exciting as it had been a decade ago.

The attraction itself was more like a show than a ride with screens on all sides of an area of theater screening showing shots of Mars and film clips that advanced the storyline. "Mission to Mars" would close in 1993 and be replaced by another exhibit.
