Located in Bucharest, Romania, Hotel Cismigiu was built in 1914. It was used as a hotel until it closed in 1970. In the early 90s, it was re-opened as a student dormitory. During this time, a young girl died after falling down an elevator shaft. It's back to being used as a hotel now but visitors still say they've seen the girl's ghost wandering the corridors.

Answer: Buma Inn

It's unknown exactly when the Buma Inn was built, but it's believed to be haunted by the angry ghost of a patron who roams the corridors at night in search of the chef who poisoned his food.

Hampton Court Palace was built in 1514 and in 1529 became the residence of King Henry VIII. In 1540, Henry married his fifth wife, Catherine Howard, however, a year later, the Queen became involved in a romantic relationship with one of the King's courtiers. When Henry learnt of his wife's infidelity, he immediately ordered her execution. Catherine was stripped of her title as Queen and sent to the Tower of London where she was beheaded in February 1542.

Visitors have reported seeing Catherine's ghost in a part of the Palace now known as the "Haunted Gallery". Some say they've also seen the ghost of Henry's third wife, Jane Seymour.

Visitors to Jeruk Purut Cemetery in Jakarta, Indonesia, have reported seeing the ghost of a beheaded pastor, being followed by the ghost of a black dog. According to local belief, the pastor is searching for his grave. However, it's said the pastor was actually buried not in Jeruk Purut but in a different cemetery, Tanah Kusir.

On February 1st, 1974, the Joelma Building, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, caught fire when an air-conditioning unit overheated. Thirteen people died after becoming trapped in an elevator while trying to escape. Their ghosts are said to have haunted the building ever since.

Myrtle's Plantation in Louisiana, USA, is said to be haunted by a slave girl named Chloe. According to local belief, Chloe poisoned a birthday cake which led to the deaths of her mistress and two children. As punishment, the other slaves hanged Chloe from a tree in the front garden.

Although there's no record of any of the Plantation's owners ever having slaves, many visitors have reported seeing Chloe's ghost.
10. Which building, located in Ontario, Canada, is said to be haunted by a victim of the Titanic?

Answer: Chateau Laurier

Built in the early 1900s, Chateau Laurier was commissioned by Charles Hays, the President of Canada's Grand Trunk Pacific Railway. In April 1912, Mr and Mrs Hays were on financial business in London but were anxious to return home to Canada in time for the hotel's opening. They had also received information that their daughter Louise was having trouble with her pregnancy.

They booked First Class tickets on Titanic, but their decision would cost Mr Hays his life. On April 15th, 1912, he and 1500 others perished when Titanic sank. His wife survived. The body of Charles was eventually recovered and he was buried in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on May 8th, 1912.
