On April 19, 1995, the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was bombed at 9:02am. They later arrested Timothy McVeigh for his terrorist anti-government attack that killed 168 people and injured many more. McVeigh and his partner, Terry Nichols, were upset about the U.S. government handling of the Waco, Texas, siege and the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban. McVeigh detonated a rental truck filled with two tons of ammonium nitrate fertilizer in front of the building.
