Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Baby John

Answer: West Side Story

The first original Broadway production was in 1957. Jerome Robbins joined forces with Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents, who wrote the book. In 1961 a film version of the musical was released. The film version was directed by Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins.

Baby John was one of The Jets. Riff is the leader of the Jets and Diesel is his lieutenant. Other members of the Jets are Tony, Action, A-Rab, Big Deal, Gee-Tar, Mouthpiece, Snowboy, Tiger and Anybodys.
2. Anita

Answer: West Side Story

Anita is the girlfriend of Bernardo, the Shark's top man in the gang. In the original stage version, Anita sings the song "America" along with Rosalia and the Shark Girls.
3. Maria

Answer: West Side Story

Tony and Maria sing the song "Tonight". The song takes place on the fire escape at the side of her apartment. Maria is a Puerto Rican immigrant. She meets Tony at a dance and falls in love.
4. Bernardo

Answer: West Side Story

Bernardo is the leader of the Sharks and Maria's older brother. He also has a relationship with Anita. The Sharks were formed by Bernardo because he was involved in a fracas with Riff, who didn't want a Puerto Rican in their patch. So as you can imagine, the rivalry between The Sharks and The Jets was always proving problematic.
5. Lina

Answer: Singin' in the Rain

"Singin' in the Rain" is a stage musical adapted from a 1952 film of the same name. The original West End production was first performed on June 30, 1983 at the London Palladium and ran until September 1985.

Lina was played by Sarah Payne. Lina Lamont is the primary antagonist and female supporting lead in the theatrical musical "Singin' in the Rain". She is a well-known silent movie star who finds it difficult to switch from the silent screen to talking in films because of her annoying, high-pitched voice.
6. Don

Answer: Singin' in the Rain

Tommy Steele played the lead role of Don Lockwood in the 1983 London musical. Don is the main star of the musical, who falls in love with Kathy. Lockwood is a very famous star of the silent screen. He has to adapt his acting to allow for speech, which is now necessary in films.

He has to work around his feelings for Kathy, a new aspiring actress, while at the same time learning about the new technology.
7. Cosmo

Answer: Singin' in the Rain

Cosmo Brown plays the part of a very close friend and right-hand man of Don Lockwood. He is funny and good at one-liners. Cosmo sings the song "Make 'Em Laugh" to his friend Don to cheer him up as he handles the change over from silent films to "talkies".
8. Kathy

Answer: Singin' in the Rain

Kathy Selden, an aspiring actress, plays a crucial role in resolving the issues posed by Hollywood's shift from silent to talkies. She develops feelings for silent film star Don Lockwood, but in the new "talkie" version of their movie, she has to dub the voice of his annoying co-star Lina Lamont. Lina tries to undermine Kathy's career out of envy, but a triumphant conclusion shows that Kathy is the real star behind Lina's voice, which sparks her romance with Don.
9. Eddie

Answer: The Rocky Horror Show

"The Rocky Horror Show" had a trial run on 16 and 18 June 1973 before it premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in London on 19 June 1973. In the musical, a mad transvestite scientist named Dr Frank-N-Furter unveils his new creation, Rocky, an artificially created, fully grown, physically flawless muscle man, to a newly engaged couple who are caught in a storm and get a puncture. They go to the castle to see if they can use their phone. And then the fun begins.

Before Eddie was living at the castle, he was just a delivery boy. Once he was in the castle, he soon became the lover of Frank-N-Furter after replacing his former lover. Eddie falls in love with Frank's old lover, which Frank didn't like - so he decided to remove half of the brain of Eddie to make a new creature.
10. Brad

Answer: The Rocky Horror Show

One of the show's primary characters is Brad. He's not particularly streetwise and a bit of a geek. Brad and Janet Weiss become engaged. The couple decides to go see an old scientific professor, but they get a puncture en route. They can make out a castle in the distance. When they get to the castle, Riff Raff answers their knock on the door. When they enter, they discover that a party is in full swing, and people are dancing to "Time Warp".
11. Magenta

Answer: The Rocky Horror Show

Magenta is the sister of Riff Raff, and is also a maid at the castle. Frank invites Brad and Janet to his laboratory to show the couple his latest project. Magenta and Riff Raff remove the clothes from Brad and Janet down to the couple's underwear while they are in the laboratory. It is at this point Frank unveils Rocky Horror.
12. Columbia

Answer: The Rocky Horror Show

At one time, Columbia was a sexual partner of frank as well as being a servant. Frank moves on from Columbia to be with Eddie. Later in the show, Columbia falls for Eddie too, that is, until he dies. At the end of the show, Riff Raff kills Columbia along with Frank.
